A SCARED AND CONFUSED ELSA FROM ARENDELLE FINDS HERSELF IN STORYBROOKE AND CREATES A POWERFUL SNOW MONSTER FOR PROTECTION, REGINA WONDERS IF HER RELATIONSHIP WITH ROBIN HOOD HAS BEEN COMPLETELY QUASHED NOW THAT MARIAN’S BACK IN THE PICTURE, AND IN ARENDELLE OF THE PAST, ELSA’S SISTER ANNA WANTS TO COMPLETE THEIR PARENT’S FATEFUL JOURNEY AND DISCOVER IF THEIR QUEST MAY HAVE HELD THE SECRET TO CONTAINING ELSA’S OUT OF CONTROL ICE POWERS, ON THE SEASON PREMIERE OF ABC’S “ONCE UPON A TIME”
John Rhys-Davies (“The Lord of the Rings,” “Raiders of the Lost Ark”) Voices the Grand Pabbie
Giancarlo Esposito Guest Stars as Sidney/Magic MirrorMaster storytellers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz (“Lost,” “Tron: Legacy”) invite everyone to join Emma Swan, Snow White, Prince Charming, The Evil Queen, Hook and all the other resident fairytale characters as they prepare to defend themselves against a magical force from the past that’s too unpredictable even for Rumplestiltskin – Elsa, the Ice Queen from Arendelle. And now that Emma has brought back Robin Hood’s wife, Marian, and possibly sparked the end of Regina’s relationship with him, will Regina return to her old, evil ways and do everything in her power to get even? And newlyweds Belle and Rumplestiltskin continue to be deeply in love with each other. But Rumple is hiding a secret from Belle — one that, if found out, could destroy their happiness – he continues to be the master of the dagger that calls upon him to be the Dark One. Can Emma and Hook commit to one another, and can these two damaged people take their love to the next level? Mary Margaret and David have a new baby, Prince Neal, and are looking forward to raising him into a proud, brave and loving adult. But they are still sad that they were not able to do this with Emma, instead helping her escape the curse when she was first born and not meeting her again until she was 28 years old. Henry is very happy to have both of his mothers back in Storybrooke. But with biological mom Emma and paternal grandfather Rumplestiltskin’s blood running through his veins, he will be tested by both the light and the darkness. Finally, Will Scarlet (Michael Socha, “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland”), a former member of Robin Hood’s band of Merry Men, has traveled across many lands to make his way to Storybrooke. He finds himself intertwined in the goings-on in town for the first time as his mysterious past pushes him to an unknown future.
In the season premiere episode, “A Tale of Two Sisters,” a scared and confused Elsa finds herself in Storybrooke and, fearful of the intentions of its residents, creates a powerful snow monster for protection. With Robin Hood’s wife, Marian, back in the picture, Regina wonders if her “happily ever after” with the former thief has been completely quashed; while on their honeymoon, Mr. Gold finds an intriguing object that makes him question whether or not he should officially give Belle control over the dagger that makes him The Dark One, and Hook is dismayed to discover that Emma seems to be avoiding him while she tries to help comfort Regina after being the one responsible for bringing Marian back from the past and into Storybrooke. Meanwhile, in Arendelle of the past, as Elsa’s sister Anna’s wedding to Kristoff nears, Anna discovers that their parents – who died on-ship during a violent storm – were heading to a mysterious destination in a quest that may have held the secret to containing Elsa’s out of control Ice powers. And against Elsa’s wishes, Anna wants to finish their journey to find out what they were looking for, on “Once Upon a Time,” SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 28 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

okay then. (also: MItchell is totally Elsa’s mom as well as the Snow Queen)
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"September 8, 2014 at 1:54 pm #281757obisgirlParticipantI’m still not sure about that theory. I think what happened is that Elsa and Anna’s parents sought out help from the Snow Queen. Or maybe the Snow Queen’s Anna and Elsa’s aunt.
I mean, if we get separate casting for Anna and Elsa’s mother, then yeah, she and EM’s character cannot be the same person.

What if they were searching for another ice sorceress who may have answers about why Elsa has powers. And then they encounter Elizabeth character who kills them. Or something :p

Glad to see Rumple is still wrestling with the decision rather than just giving Belle the fake one and being done with it. He wants to give her the real dagger but something keeps holding him back and that is completely understandable.
Hook is dismayed to discover that Emma seems to be avoiding him while she tries to help comfort Regina after being the one responsible for bringing Marian back from the past and into Storybrooke.
I thought that’s how Emma would react towards Hook. She’ll cool off towards him in an effort to protect herself and he’ll have to coax her back out of her shell again. They’ll be a lot of to and fro for CS in season 4, it’s not going to be smooth sailing.
I think Elizabeth Mitchell’s character is an older Anna.

September 8, 2014 at 3:38 pm #281769MyrilParticipantThey paid more attention to grammar this time.
I don’t know about Elizabeth Mitchell being Snow Queen and mother of Elsa. Not that looks matter sometimes, but in the movie the Queen of Arendelle, Anna’s and Elsa’s mother had brown hair. And despite speculations here, in the movie it was never hinted at that Anna and Elsa had not the same mother. So expect more that she is the Snow Queen, who perhaps Elsa’s parents were on the way to seek out for help. Anna then following their trace.
What is that about Will Scarlet? Mysterious past pushing him to an unknown future? Watched only a few episodes of Wonderland and sure haven’t paid that much attention to the stories there, but didn’t he find his happy ending with his love there? Or did that happen all in the future? Call me confused here.
Nice little extra for me is that Pascale Hutton will grace the screen under OUaT label for a moment, small role, but something. Too bad her own show Arctic Air got cancelled (she knows how to play in frozen places, that for sure, they filmed parts of her show on location in Yellowknife, North of Canada in really freezing temperatures even). She would be a great addition for a musical episode.
¯\_(?????? ?)_/¯

That’s what I’m thinking too. I know Adam and Eddy like to make everyone related in some way but the feeling so far I’m getting for 4A, is that they’re trying to stay away from doing that. Didn’t one of them say that Elsa is not related to anyone in Storybrooke (our usual main characters).

Correct. They said that Elsa would not be related to Henry in some way, unlike any villain of the past.
