Yeah, what exactly is going on here? Elsa is dressed in her coronation garb and Ingrid is dressed very regally herself. Is there some kind of ball or formal occasion going on?

So Belle wants to go off half-cocked against someone is very powerful with just a pick axe? At least with the Yaogui she had her books (sorta like Belle is supposed to have). But she won’t tell Rumple exactly why? And he’s overly dismissive and just flat out “I won’t let you near her.” And now she’s…well, now apparently she’s going to be like Zelena and control Rumple after he spent a year locked up in a cage being abused and manipulated?

But that one clip had more Belle lines than we’ve had in the whole season thus far, so at least that’s something.

Belle, Belle, Belle. Rumple, Rumple, Rumple. Both of them are exploring their inner darkness. Neither one is blameless.
I don’t think Belle is dim enough to try and face off with the Snow Queen without magic back-up. Hence her plan to ask Rumple for help and, if need be, use the dagger. I guess desperate times call for desperate measures. But did she forget Rumple was controlled by Zelena? I guess Belle is rationalizing using the dagger on him “for the greater good” whereas Zelena used the dagger for selfish reasons.
I think what we’re lacking is context. What mistake did Belle make a long time ago? Obviously, Belle must’ve regained some sort of memory or discovered something about her own past with the Snow Queen that involves her mother, and she’s feeling extremely guilty. Now Belle needs Rumple’s magic to fix whatever mistake she made.
Maybe Belle won’t tell Rumple because she feels what she did is shameful and it would only cause Rumple to lose esteem for her. Little does she know Rumple is covering up a big dark secret of his own that involves the Snow Queen. Hence his refusal to let Belle anywhere near her. He’s concerned about Belle’s safety but also about being caught in a massive web of lies. Now he’s playing the guilt card on her, “I gave it to you because I trusted you.” Baloney, Rumple! You don’t get to preach to your wife about trust when you broke her trust the minute you proposed. *Ugh*

But her “greater good” stems from a mistake Belle made a long time ago that she feels she needs to correct which is in and of its self selfish….

Right! And now Belle feels horrible for controlling him, unaware that all along Rumple’s been manipulating and lying to her!
*rubs head wearily* I don’t know how they fix Rumbelle without both parties and the relationship as whole looking really bad.
