Though I am a bit disappointed…I though Ingrid wanted Emma to be her daughter, not her sister….ohhhh that could’ve given Snow White something to do! Going to war with the woman who was the foster mother of Emma….it would have parallel Regina and Emma over Henry in S1!
See Snow just pull a Molly Weasly on Snow Queen, “Not my daughter, you WITCH!! *shoots arrow in her face*” :3 Snow White vs. Snow Queen
I Swear THat’s The Exact Same Thought I Had! I was gonna post that gif, but it has the B word in it!!! @TheWatcher and I thinking on one accord!!!! YES!

I’ve been reading through past threads today (home sick with a bad cold and a great way to pass the time) and your post connected with something I’ve been kicking around for a while. I could be wrong but I don’t think Cora is dead, as in really, really dead…forever dead. A magic candle was used to “kill” her…but the candle used to “kill” her was her own magic. When Rumple used the cuffs on Peter Pan they did not work because they were Peter’s own magic. If Cora is alive she may be in a different form…who knows…there are so many possibilities. I would love for this to be true because there is so much more that could be explored with Cora. She is a villain who gets under my skin.
*A random extra: When Anna and Elsa were in the attic admiring the wedding dress there was a bed frame leaning against the wall. It is the same bed frame that was in the room where Cora had on her wedding dress.

We saw Cora’s ghost in “Bleeding Through” though, via a spell Regina used that’s specifically intended to contact the dead.

That is certainly a possibility.

Right…but the spell to contact the dead didn’t work. The portal opened and she did not come through. There was however a fake mirror in the hallway that vanished and since she appeared upstairs it appears she was somehow connected with that disappearing mirror. We were left to assume that the spell only partly worked.

March 7, 2015 at 6:44 pm #297796CindersParticipantAs we learned from Rumple earlier this season, magic never dies. It simply takes on another form.
We’ve also learned, from experience, that “dead is dead” pertains to non magical beings, ie, Grahm, Neal, Johanna etc.
We’ve seen many non magical beings revived. Rumple, Maleficent, Pinocchio, Blue.
It wouldn’t surprise me in the least if Cora was magically revived.
Cora being the Queen of hearts could have the answer to how and why Emma ended up with the heart containing the most potential for darkness. Was Emma born with a dark heart? Or was she given that heart? Haven’t we heard from our storytellers that evil isn’t born, it’s made.
Which brings me to the question.. Why are some peoples’ traits described by the specific word “heart”? As in the “heart” of the truest believer. This has always sounded odd to me, as if someone was once the truest believer, and someone put that persons heart into Henry.
More importantly, Chernabog was looking for a specific heart. Was Emma born with that heart? Wouldnt Chernabog have been searching for that same heart before he was trapped in that hat?
Who controls the hearts? And has hundreds in her vault? Cora.
Hope she comes back in the present. As always, I’m confused.March 7, 2015 at 7:28 pm #297802SlurpeezParticipantAs we learned from Rumple earlier this season, magic never dies. You left out two, non-magical people, who’ve been revived: David and Philip. In the case of Philip, his soul was sucked out and traveled to another realm, according to Cora. Some might argue that he was not technically dead, but the soul leaving the body is the traditional Greek understanding of death. In the case of David, he was dead, seeing how Regina crushed his heart at the behest of Snow White to enact the dark curse. He was magically revived when Snow’s heart was split in half, and the other half was put back into David. Now, that could be an exception, seeing how Snow and David share the truest of true love, but it’s still an example of a non-magical person being resurrected. While I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that Cora is alive again (seeing how Zelena is reportedly alive), I’m hoping she’s not.

I’m going to say no, Emma wasn’t born with her heart already dark. It’s simply that she was born with the potential to have the darkest heart. This would be comparable to a child who is born innocent, but yet who has the potential to become a future Hitler. Yet, just because someone has the potential for evil, doesn’t mean he or she must become evil. Another example would be someone who is born with a genetic proclivity towards alcoholism, but if that person never has a taste for alcohol, then there is no risk of becoming addicted to it.
More importantly, Chernabog was looking for a specific heart. Was Emma born with that heart? Wouldnt Chernabog have been searching for that same heart before he was trapped in that hat?
I’m thinking that Emma was born as the product of true love, and not just any love, but that of her parents, who share the truest love. She is True Love incarnate, which is why she is magical. Rumple said that True Love is the most powerful magic of all, and that if you can harness true love, you can do anything. Emma being the embodiment of True Love could potentially make her the most powerful magical being who has ever lived once she’s fully in control of that magic. “Love is a weapon” so I suppose Emma could use that magic for good or for evil. Emma hyped up on magic reminds me of Galadriel from LOTR, when she was tempted by the power of the one ring. She could be a force for supreme good, or I suppose, the opposite. (Yet if you ask me, it makes zero sense why True Love Incarnate would be potentially the most evil, but the writers are making this stuff up as the go, so what the hey).

Guys, please start a new thread if there is a new observation or idea you wish to discuss. Bumping a very old spoiler thread from last season is rather silly since this does not pertain to anything related to episode 407 or to the current arc. Thank you

I think before long we are all going to be revisiting old spoiler threads and we are going to find that all the threads are connected.
