409 Sneak Peeks

“They will tear themselves apart, until everyone is dead.” What a lovely way to start a family. Will Ana, Elsa, Emma or Rumple have the pleasure of escorting her out of Storybrooke. And, will she leave in a hat, a heart vault, a ball of fire, or a new urn, or drift away on a snowflake. Personally, I hope she drifts away somehow, so there’s always the possibility of her returning.

Me too! Or perhaps they are able to see that she needs help instead of death?!

What happens in the second sneak peek?

Well now, that’s a simple, not so simple solution. Let’s not be in town.

That certainly puts a new spin on what I was expecting. So, they have till sundown to find Ana and Kristoff, put Mary Margaret behind bars for whatever reason, fight with each other, say goodbye to each other, then try to get out of town.

Please, no new curse bringing them back to EF with no memories. But wait! Maybe this could be Emma’s curse, using the heart of the thing she loves most, Hook! Oops, my bad, he has no heart.

Um, do we know that Rumple is immune to this curse?  I could see him striking the following deal.

Rumple: I want Belle and I not to go crazy.

Ingrid: And what’s in it for me?

Rumple:  Do you really want the darkest version of the Dark One running around Dearie?

Let’s be honest, that’s not gonna be good for anyone. :/

Rumple does actually love Belle. He might be more worried about what she’d do to herself than her finding out about the lies. He’s taking a gamble on those, and he knows it, and probably believes she’ll either forgive him or leave him eventually no matter what happens.

But even if his desire for what the hat can give him is strong enough to make him choose it over being honest with Belle, he does love her and want to protect her. He’s not just in this for self-preservation, even if that is a strong part of who he is.

I realize that S4 has only given us three scenes that weren’t cut to actually see Rumple’s softer side, so it’s easy to assume he’s lost it completely, but I still see it there. He might not put Belle ahead of his goals with the hat, but he’d definitely do anything else to protect her.
