Random official OUAT in Wonderland twitter account promoting Christina Perri.
Well Perri did that music video that featured Colin so I guess she’s shelling for them for this episode.
Not so much her, but more so that it’s the Wonderland account announcing it.

Does that mean that’s not just Regina’s perception of it? It’s actually true? Or maybe since they are still filming Lana doesn’t know for sure how it will play out.

I know most of you all don’t like Hook but he took control of his destiny and decided to change for himself. He didn’t need no author to give him a happy ending. It’s all about the characters’s choices. Regina chose evil, therefore path to a happy ending was never going to be an easy one. She said it herself if she hadn’t chosen evil, maybe her life wouldn’t have turned out the way it has.
That’s why I feel like this whole finding the author thing is a ret-con because I think we’ve seen in past seasons with almost every villain, they’ve all had to make choices and those choices define who they will become.

I agree. If the author is able to control things then it takes away everyone’s free will as they are forced to play the role they’ve been handed in life whether they want to or not. What’s the point in Regina being good if someone else is going to tell her whether she gets a happy ending or not, and even with all her good deeds, they might turn around and say you can’t have a happy ending anyway. The characters should be able to make their own choices in life, for better or for worse and have to deal with the consequences of those choices, not be able to just have a happy ending written for them.

I would’ve preferred to see Hook struggle more with his redemption arc. He’s had it a bit too easy in comparison to Rumple and Regina.

I agree. Plus “villains” aren’t supposed to see themselves as villains in their choices as actions. For example, Regina felt she had justification to go after Snow the way she did because Snow’s blabbing caused the death of Daniel in her eyes. Regina didn’t do it because she felt like she had to be a villain.

Not really an interview but it recaps what to expect in 4B.

Every time they say this, I am going to start taking a shot. I’ll be dead by Sunday
Rumple puts himself first. And the fun thing about Rumple is that he warned us in season one that he was a difficult man to love. And every time we remind the audience of that, they get upset.”
It goes against my “I simply don’t care anymore” attitude to do this but here goes.
Eddie, do you know WHY people loved Rumple? Because you gave him an emotional storyline that was complex and deep… that the bad things he did were always undercut by the search for his son and the regret and pain that he felt over having let go of Bae’s hand. He has never been as one note as you are now making him out to be. No one in your audience–and thanks for the insult by the way, as if we are all petulant children who simply can’t stand it when our favorites are treated poorly as though we have amnesia and can’t remember the first 3 seasons of this show, a malady I believe you and your cohort suffer from–has ever denied that Rumple is selfish and self serving or lying or manipulative. NO ONE. But there was another layer, a depth, to him that made his selfishness and self serving attitude understandable in the wake of being a father who lost his only child and himself being an abandoned little boy who was taught that love was not unilateral. When you simply decided to make him THE MOST EVIL but for other justification than HE IS EVIL GUYZ you robbed your once rich character of all that made him what he was and why people loved him. We did not love him because he was EVIL, we loved him because he was complicated and it was beautiful. Your working thesis for Rumple has never been that he’s the devil, but rather a flawed man who struggled with power, greed, rage, love, loss, family, and self worth. The only thing he is now a characicture of a villain from an old black and white film where he has a black hat, a mustache to twirl and a chortle to round it out.
