Maybe the green breath magic is a reference to how Cruella is known for smoking? That’s my best guess, honestly.

Also, does anyone else think that Rumple was a bit…off? I mean, it seemed more like there wasn’t enough effort put by Bobby into the character – and don’t take that as a hate on Bobby. He’s a fantastic actor, but it doesn’t seem like he’s interested in the role.

Bobby has seemed “off” to me since the second half of season three. He is phoning it in as much as Bobby Carlyle can. You’re not the only one who has noticed—Jeremy has said something similar in podcast

I’m going to have to see it in context but…FTL Rumple as we’ve seen him thus far wants people to fear him and trade with him so he can accumulate power & safety, but he was always focused on the goal of getting to Baelfire. He DID call himself a villain in S3A, but that’s after years of Storybrooke…it just feels out of place in the past.
