Whenever I see this thread title I sing to myself. “So I dub theeeee unnnfoorrrrgiveeeennnn.” I dunno if A&E are Metallica fans, so it’s not necessarily another case of an ep being named after a song, though The Unforgiven IS kind of a Rumple song.

Just looked up the lyrics, yeah, it is a very Rumple song.

I’m very certain that the Regina/Maleficent Centric Episode is 4×13 due to the title, Unforgiven!

It will parallel the big flashback of them meeting and becoming best friends to present day enemies….

This will be the “Breaking Glass Emma/Regina” type episode but only with Regina/Maleficent, and Regina will be in Emma’s shoes considering she locked Mal underground for 30 years. I feel this may be veryyyyy emotional!

After seeing the Winter finale, I now think this will be a Rumbelle centric. “Unforgiven” could refer to how Belle still hasn’t forgiven Rumple for his actions. Plus, there’s been hints about the episode being about Rumbelle from the filming pics and comments from paps. The next episode, “Enter the Dragon”, is obviously the Maleficent centric, so it wouldn’t make sense for this episode to be Maleficent centric too.

Plus, there were rumors that a drunken Will Scarlet kisses Belle in this episode. If true, I’m not sure if Will plants one on an unwilling Belle, or whether Belle welcomes it, seeing how she effectively said Rumple had already lost her. She may be trying out her new freedom. We know beneath Belle’s demure library exterior is her second self, Lacey, a bar fly.

I’m going out on a limb and saying it’s actually Belle who is unforgiven.

It’s not in Rumple’s character to ask for forgiveness from anyone but Baelfire. But it entirely in Belle’s nature to ask forgiveness, even if in our eyes she’s done nothing wrong. Plus, I could see Rumple trying to keep his distance from Belle until his plan has played out.

I won’t be happy if it plays out this way, but i wouldn’t be surprised.

Interesting idea, but I still think it’s Rumple who hasn’t been forgiven. Belle won’t be so quick to forgive him after everything that happened, and she’s the one who put Rumple in the dog house. She has the high ground as of now, when it comes to their relationship. Plus, she has the dagger.
