As I said before, I think it’s mostly the hat and the fact that Kristin and Bex look alike (aside from their obvious difference in hair color).

Neither of Zelena’s Storybrooke outfits were a pantsuit like Mal’s Storybrooke outfit is.

I’m with MP on this one, I don’t really see much similarity myself besides the hat. I get a sort of Lady-Mob-Boss-chic feel from Mal’s SB outfit; I like it a lot, honestly, though I know I’m in the minority. She’s already shown herself in flashbacks to be the dominant Queen of Darkness, the outfit to me feels like an extension of that. The Don with her gang of witches. I dig it.

I listened to the Afterbuzz podcast for this week’s ep. One of the hosts said that we saw Zelena in the promo for next week. I had to go rewatch to check. Clearly she’d just seen Maleficent and mistaken her for Zelena.
