I can believe that Rumplestiltskin is in fact magically disguising himself as Hook.

Honestly, if Hook is really Rumple and he is fooling Belle then I’d say there is next to zero hope for them. That would be twice now that he has fooled and manipulated her in this arc–the first being the Oxford Professor fooling his wife into releasing a Chernabog

I disagree. If Hook is really Rumple then I can see why Rumple is doing this to get his dagger back.
1. Rumple believes things really are over with Belle so he wants his dagger back so Belle can’t control him.
2. If Belle is giving Rumple’s dagger which can control him to “Hook” then it is even more important that Rumple gets his dagger back.I Think there is still hope for RumBelle.

I don’t think RumBelle will be getting back together in this half of the season since A&E made a big deal about Belle being “strong” and using RumBelle’s separation to build up Belle’s character. However I do think Rumple will do something that makes Belle decide to give him another chance.
