I think this is why killing Cruella is fueling Emma’s path towards darkness. It’s not so much killing Cruella to save Henry, but how quickly she gave in to dark impulses. It was really learning the truth about what her parents did that started this attitude, and killing Cruella was her first harsh act since then. Now she’s acting reckless.

This also reminds me of when Emma’s powers were out of control during 4A. Both cases were based on Emma’s emotions getting the best of her.
