while Regina and Robin struggle to cope with the implications of Zelena’s pregnancy.
This episode will be the deciding factor on whether OQ can limp on or whether it will truly be utterly sunk in the fans eyes (but still sail in the writers eyes).
It would also be an opportunity to explore the issue of female on male rape which is less recognised than male on female rape.
The thing with Robin is, he’s not consistently written. He harps on about his “code of honour” which he hides behind when he is faced with a difficult decision yet he willingly drops it when it suits him (crypt-sex). He constantly flip flops, constantly whines on about his hypocritical code, and constantly does the opposite of what other characters tell him to do. For example:
Regina: You should be with Marian.
Robin: But Regina, I want yoooooooouuuuuu.Rumple: Go be with Regina. (Not his exact words but basically what he said)
Robin: Marian, I want yoooooooouuuuu.Regina: Robin! Come with me if you want to live!
Robin: Regina, why you being so jealous?
Regina: Didn’t you hear me? Marian is dead, my insane sister has been pretending to be her all along. We have magic, people pretending to be other people is an actual thing, my mother was very fond of it. Now grab your coat and move!
Robin: Regina why you lie? Stop being jealous![adrotate group="5"]All magic comes with a price!

Given Adam’s stance on Regina/Graham, that won’t happen

This is hilarious. In the literal 5 minutes all this went down, Regina came and told Robin what was going on. He says ‘this is madness'(which is is). Marian comes back. Regina threatens to ‘rip her apart’ to find the charm. Robin, who is still incredulous and knows Marian is pregnant, tells Regina this is his new reality (cause it is…). Zelena reveals herself. Regina says ‘lets go’. Robin says, ‘I can’t leave her here because she is pregnant’.
That’s what happened.
I’m having a hard time imagining how this episode will bridge into the grand season finale. It will have to cover so much ground.
1. Emma, Lily, Regina, Robin, Roland, and Zelena need to come back to Storybrooke
2. Lily is reunited with Mal
3. Zelena is put in the insane asylum
4. Rumple gets sick
5. Lily goes on a rampage against the Charmings
6. Regina needs to meet the Author
7. The Author finds another partner
8. The Author begins rewriting? the stories.
Oh and a fairytale flashback…
April 28, 2015 at 1:13 pm #303021Jiminy’s JournalParticipantI’m so ridiculously excited that the Severe Nurse is coming back. I find it interesting that they don’t name Regina’s father though…he’s back to valet like he was when it was a surprise who he was. Maybe because Henry Sr. isn’t really accurate and just Henry is confusing. Also excited for more Nottingham stuff. I like these threads that connect us back to older episodes. And CORA!!! Best villain ever. Creator of villains and villain of villains.
I know! I love it!
But I am worried that they’re going to use Will as the Knave, because that wouldn’t add up chronologically, as far as I’m concerned.
Does it feel retconny to anyone else that Cora and Regina will be interacting at this point in the timeline? That’s how it’s feeling to me and it bugs.
I feel this may help explain Regina’s concern that the curse would pick up Cora, despite her being in Wonderland, because, assuming Jefferson and Dr. Frankenstein were still in their respective worlds, Regina still would have specifically picked them to be cursed.
April 28, 2015 at 1:52 pm #303026WickedRegalParticipantEven #OutlawQueen Fans….We’re confused now on the writing of Robin’s character because that scene was sooooo OOC for Robin Hood, but lately on the show, a lot of people have been OOC, but I just don’t think Robin would dismiss Regina as he did.
But according to Adam Horowitz…we’re perceiving all of this wrong, and that we should wait until the next episode. My hope and expectations are very low, but we’ll see.
@missprincess_pa @Carollattufe @AnOutlawQueen I'm not sure that's exactly accurate.

@OriginalGroupi none of that happened. My hope is you will continue to watch to see what really happens. Thanks for feedback!

And If…if Cora was really willing to help Regina find TL, aka Robin Hood….and Isaac screwed it up by writing it differently, thus changing Cora’s want to honestly help her daughter find her soul mate!!!!!!!

April 28, 2015 at 2:26 pm #303031TheGoldenKeyParticipantAre they going for a Dallas dream sequence where Regina dreams this all as she’s cat napping in the car on the way to NY? 😉
But seriously, even if it did happen, I take it as Robin staying to protect his unborn child. Maybe Robin had already figured out that Zelena is in fact Marian and it’s just a ploy to keep others safe until her defences are down. Will be interesting to watch this Sunday.
On the rape issue. I don’t see it like that at all. People impersonate others all the time in the real world. Identity theft is a very real problem. Just because people aren’t magically transformed on the exterior, they still present themselves as someone they aren’t to their spouses, partners, girlfriends/boyfriends. How many fugitives and scam artists at large have been apprehended without their loved ones truly knowing who they really are? I’ve never heard of them being charged with rape. Robin was still a consenting adult and he was never physically forced into anything. He was duped, not raped.
I do believe that the individual whose heart EQ crushes is the young man, played by Jeremy Patrick Schuetze. He has a distinctive mole on the right side of his face and it can be clearly seen in the video as well.

Can you imagine all those people in the car together at once? Talk about an awkward car trip!

That is exactly how it seemed to me. Robin didn’t choose Zelena over Regina. He chose to protect his unborn child. That is the definition of honor (protecting the innocent).

Hear! Hear! A parent will do anything to protect their child and you nailed it, Slurpeez. Robin’s code of honour is protecting his innocent child. 🙂

I may be totally wrong, but doesn’t he say “I can’t leave her“? Since at 6 weeks, there’s no way to know whether the child is a boy or a girl yet (the sex of the fetus becomes fairly reliably identifiably by ultrasound at around 18 weeks or so), he’s talking about Zelena. Which may still be a reference to the fact that he can’t abandon his unborn child, but the phrasing is kind of awkward.

Absolutely about the impersonation stuff, but the question, ultimately, is that Zelena put Robin in such a position that he was by definition incapable of giving (informed) consent. To me that seems to cross the line from identity theft into sexual coercion: Robin’s case could be construed as an instance of impaired judgement, where, by nature of Zelena’s egregious deception, his consent cannot be considered valid.
