I may be totally wrong, but doesn’t he say “I can’t leave her“? Since at 6 weeks, there’s no way to know whether the child is a boy or a girl yet (the sex of the fetus becomes fairly reliably identifiably by ultrasound at around 18 weeks or so), he’s talking about Zelena. Which may still be a reference to the fact that he can’t abandon his unborn child, but the phrasing is kind of awkward.
I think the “her” in question here is definitely Zelena, but the reason Robin can’t leave her is not because he loves Zelena, but because she claims to be pregnant with his child. Whatever happens to Zelena happens to the baby, whom Robin feels is his to protect, no matter the the disturbing circumstances surrounding the conception. By his sense of paternal concern, he must care for Zelena until she gives birth to his child. The mother and baby’s fates are entwined for as long as the baby is dependent upon the mother for survival.
Absolutely about the impersonation stuff, but the question, ultimately, is that Zelena put Robin in such a position that he was by definition incapable of giving (informed) consent. To me that seems to cross the line from identity theft into sexual coercion: Robin’s case could be construed as an instance of impaired judgement, where, by nature of Zelena’s egregious deception, his consent cannot be considered valid.
I agree that what Zelena did to Robin was a form of rape, because there is no way Robin would’ve willingly consented to have sex with Zelena. Robin thought he was consenting to having sex with his wife, not Zelena. Therefore his “consent” is non-existent, because he never consented to have sex with Zelena.

Identity theft is a very real problem. Just because people aren’t magically transformed on the exterior, they still present themselves as someone they aren’t to their spouses, partners, girlfriends/boyfriends. How many fugitives and scam artists at large have been apprehended without their loved ones truly knowing who they really are? I’ve never heard of them being charged with rape. Robin was still a consenting adult and he was never physically forced into anything. He was duped, not raped.
I disagree, I think it is rape rather than identity theft. Imagine if Charming’s identical twin brother was still alive and in Storybrooke. Snow is married to Charming and would never sleep with James. Snow gets drunk one night, not blind drunk but impaired drunk. Charming is busy and can’t take her home but asks James to escort Snow home. When they get there, in her drunken state, Snow mistakes James for Charming. James doesn’t correct her and chooses to have sex with Snow under the pretense that he is Charming.
To me, that’s rape. Snow would never choose to sleep with James of her own free will. Likewise, Robin would never sleep with Zelena of his own free will.
Even #OutlawQueen Fans….We’re confused now on the writing of Robin’s character because that scene was sooooo OOC for Robin Hood, but lately on the show, a lot of people have been OOC, but I just don’t think Robin would dismiss Regina as he did.
But according to Adam Horowitz…we’re perceiving all of this wrong, and that we should wait until the next episode. My hope and expectations are very low, but we’ll see.
We’ll see. My main issue with Robin in that scene isn’t that he refuses to leave his unborn child but that he accuses Regina of lying all to split him and “Marian” up. There is no reason why he should think Regina is lying. He should be confused, bewildered, puzzled, sure but not flat out accuse Regina.
All magic comes with a price!

Robin said “I can’t leave her here.” The “here” is very important because to leave the word out changes the meaning of his statement to one about whether he is staying with Zelena, when it is a statement about Robina and Zelena’s location.
April 28, 2015 at 7:32 pm #303063kpercymanParticipantI just have to say I think it is one thing for Robin to say he would be with Marian due to honor even though he doesn’t love her and then sleep with her. I mean isn’t anyone else bothered by that? He professes his love for Regina and that he doesn’t love Marian, yet he bonks her right when they leave SB.
I know she is Zelena and it doesn’t justify, but come on!!!

Adam & Eddie always choose their words carefully. The “HERE” part is all telling. In my opinion, Robin isn’t saying he can’t leave Zelena; he is saying he can’t leave her in NY because she’s pregnant with his child, so he must bring her back to SB with them. He has no intention of staying with Zelena. He only wants to keep his eye on her until the child is born or they find out she’s been lying.
