In the bio for Once’s Twitter account they call it, “The official Twitter for ABC’s Heroes And Villains.” I wonder what the title card for the episode will be…

Keeper of Thor’s Hammer, Will Scarlet’s Genie Bottle, Emma’s Gun, Emma and Henry’s Moment at the Castle, Cora, and the infamous Family Tree!

Yeah I sorta wished they had saved that title for now

According to an old interview, it turns out that they named that episode after a Beach Boys song. However, they do say it’s a descriptor for the second half of the Season:

Is heroes vs. villains a fair descriptor for the second half of the season?
KITSIS: Absolutely. That is the title of episode 11.
    HOROWITZ: It’s “Heroes and Villains.”
KITSIS: That’s actually named after the Beach Boys song.

There’s also a biography out there called Heroes & Villains: The True Story of the Beach Boys, written by Steven Gaines.

The Beach Boys founded their group back in 1961, the same year that Joseph Heller published his book, Catch 22.  Love that 1961 them year and hope that’s the exact same year that we’re seeing in the spoilers.  Not sure if this has been mentioned but Joe Heller’s father’s name was Joseph ISAAC Heller thus further cementing everyone’s thoughts that Isaac is indeed a nod to Joe Heller.

A&E do love their music and The Beach Boys.  In the season 3 finale of LOST, Through the Looking Glass, Charlie enters the musical code to the notes of Good Vibrations by The Beach Boys so they can start sending & receiving transmissions.  That’s the episode that Lana Parrilla guest starred in as well and where poor Charlie died. 🙁

It’s funny how Charlie was sort of Desmond’s ‘catch 22’ in LOST.  In the S3 episode of the same name, Desmond needed Charlie alive to help him find the parachutist but if he brings Charlie along on the search, his flashes show him Charlie will die, thus not being able to help him find the parachutist.  A true paradox.

I look at Henry like OUATS catch 22.  I’m thinking that Isaac was not able to rewrite his story because he was not an actual Enchanted Forest character as he was born in the real world.  So, while Isaac could change events in regards to Emma & Nealfire, such as never having met & conceiving a child, he could never erase Henry from the story because he came from the real world, thus the paradox/catch 22.

Anyway, I’m just rambling on here.  Happy though that they have given us a story to ponder over and wonder out loud about.  🙂
