I’m guessing he is originally from the Land Without Magic. Could be this is circa the 1960s, since they are selling old school color TV. The 1960s were when color TV became a thing.
The tv behind Isaac has the ABC logo. Just reporting…*silently murming about my theory that LWM is not our land and this could be a clue, that Isaac is from the REAL real world where this is nothing but a show* >> Hey look at all the pretties.

OK, so, 1960s in our world would be around the time Snow and others in her generation were being born in FTL, yes? (2015 – about 55 years to account for the years since the Curse, and the age that Snowing were when he Curse hit.) If he got the Author job around that time, I guess he’s “known” that generation pretty much their whole lives.

I’d be surprised if Rumple doesn’t tell Isaac to still give him the ability to use magic. He doesn’t wanna be the Dark One, but he loves magic too much to give it up completely.

Regina is wearing Snow’s outfit so maybe Regina is the bandit in the woods and Robin is really Charming going to marry a woman he doesn’t care about (is Zelena still Regina’s sister?)
