It was much better than the previous two weeks; it flowed nicely, had some moments that actually made me laugh. But with that said, there are still things I don’t like.
LIKE
–Elizabeth Mitchell: she is phenomenal. I really enjoy her here; she’s going to knock it out of the park! I like how she’s a quiet villain. She doesn’t need to shout or scream. She’s cold (hah) and manipulative, but scary.
–Will Scarlet! Finally. Glad to see him back. He’s always a hoot and a half.
–Sven. Need I say more?
–Emma and Will. They were funny together.
–Kristoff might be my favorite Frozen adapted character. He’s funny and I liked him much more here than I did previously.
LIKE/DISLIKE
–The flashbacks. They were good in places and not so good in other places. Parts of it dragged. I felt like Hands was mostly filler. He didn’t really need to be there.
–The Mary Margaret stuff. I’m not liking her over possessive, must control everything mode. Also, good lord: put Ginny Goodwin in some better clothes! But at the same time, it’s nice that they are TRYING to give Snow something to do.
–Neal shout out. On the one hand, I am VERY angry that his name gets wrapped up with Graham (whom Emma kissed once) and Walsh (who was a monkey) as if they ever could possibly mean the same thing to Emma that NEAL did (y’know..father of her kid, first love, true love). On the other hand..I should just be happy that I get a sometimes reference right?
DISLIKE
–Sorry, I can’t do OQ. At all. This whole relationship and with Marian just leaves me with a bad feeling.
–Hook blackmailing Rumple. Why couldn’t he just ASK Rumple for help? Instead he just goes and blackmails him. Three steps forward, five steps back with these guys. Just reform them already.
–Operation Mongooose: seriously? And no…the book did not get it wrong. YOU WERE A VILLAIN. You did terrible things, just like Rumple and Hook and Cora and Pan. Accept what you were and move forward.

.
LOVE REGINA in her dressed down look… looks like she just came from the gym… Reminiscent of Henry’s dress
.
I am wondering what is RUMPLE up to …

HIGHLIGHT: ROLAND! And no one can tell me otherwise, he was the best part in the whole episode! “Please! Regina Let Me!”
Regina and Henry scene….yes! Henry is finally a ride or die for Mommy! They can go on an adventure! And by the way…Regina tried accepting who she was, and tried to move on…but where did that get her? No happy ending still, so changing the book to give her a happy ending may very well be for the benefit of the greater good, as so many lives maybe spared. And I think she’s going to find a way to keep Henry somehow…
Regina and Robin Hood Scene:
YES! It’s soul mate!!! Marian can’t compete with that…Robin is stuck in a loveless marriage! He loves his soul mate Regina!
And Can I just say that Marian was initially not with Robin Hood, he stole her from the Sherriff of Nottingham! So…maybe he and Marian were never supposed to be…it was initially fate’s plan to have Robin with Regina.
Regina saving Marian:
ONCE AGAIN! Death tries to take out Marian, but Regina saves her yet again! This is it people! It’s over, it’s done, Regina has made up for killing this woman before!

Rumple. Or at least, RC’s acting for Rumple–gave me chills a few times. Same with Belle & Emilie’s portrayal her weilding the dagger.
Hook & Elsa’s adventure. Hook stole my heart with the “Hopefully, danger,” bit and then the cell phone with the Emma button had me laughing so hard. I like him a lot when it’s not all CS all the time. (And Colin is adorable in every way.)
Kristoff. Kristoff was a show-stealer and adorable.
Emma calling the snow queen “Dairy Queen.” She will forever be DQ for me now. Wait, does she have another name?
The creepy-edge-of-my-seat wondering about DQ and Rumple’s connection.
The fact that they mentioned Neal three times, even if it wasn’t perfect. His existence was acknowledged at the very least.
The bit about everyone’s magic looking different…that’s an inspiring thought to me.
Least favorite:
Um, Regina, you could’ve taken Marian’s heart out like half an hour ago so the ice didn’t have a chance to reach it. You did not need a box to take the heart. Just to store it safely.
Okay, I get TLK is complicated. It didn’t work on Frederick cuz of the gold, and it didn’t change Rumple because he got suspicious mid-kiss. (And curiously doesn’t seem to work in Storybrooke on the DO curse at all, unless Rumple’s doing SOMETHING to keep it from working.) So there could be interference. I don’t believe for a second that Robin never loved Marian truly–he bloody faced the Dark One to get a wand to save her life once. That’s TL material right there. It might be more complicated for the moment (even Snowing’s had their complicated moments) but GEEZ this is Robin Hood and Marian, I’m sorry, they’re True Love no matter what Robin’s got going on now. And Regina getting Robin while Marian is alive is icky and now if something happens to Marian it’s still icky so just no thank you on OQ.
Rumple, stop using Belle as an alibi. It’s not nice. >:( Okay, I am eager to see where that’s going to lead but Belle better still get her happy ending.
Oh, and as is now par for the course: Needs more Belle.

I wasn’t going to comment, but upon reading this I feel like I have to.
First…Regina didn’t take Marian’s heart at first because she wanted to make sure Robin trusted, as well being alright with her doing so. It was a sign of respect.
Second….just as you can say Robin and Marian are True Loves no matter what, and basically saying that the story is being told wrong because Robin fell in love with Regina, I can say that Rumple and Belle aren’t true love because last I checked Rumple’s face nor name was mentioned in the original Beauty and the Beast. But Adam and Eddy have put Rumple in the place of the Beast just as they’ve put Regina in the place of Marian as the true love of Robin Hood.
And another thing…Regina and Robin were supposed to happen WAY before Rob even knew Marian. So it’s an act of Fate. So no matter how hard anyone tries to attack or sink this ship, it’s not going down like the Titanic did. And Fate will see to that! 😛

October 13, 2014 at 1:02 am #285285GaultheriaParticipantI’m wondering who Robin is in love with, because he didn’t say it was Regina, only that it isn’t Marian, and that he is sorry for dragging Regina into this.

October 13, 2014 at 1:18 am #285286KebParticipantHe didn’t say he didn’t love Marian. He said he loved someone else. Obvious implication, he’s fallen for Regina.
And conflicting feelings could totally mess with the TLK magic. I’ll buy that.
Doesn’t mean Marian never was his true love. I fully believe they were a TL couple until she died (or until he believed she was dead) and in the subsequent three years managed to move on and develop an interest in Regina.
Moving on does not invalidate TL. After all, Regina truly loved Daniel; her falling for Robin does not make that less of a True Love. Conflicts that keep TLK from working also don’t invalidate it (as with Frederick, Snowing, and Rumbelle’s failed TLKs).
Robin’s actions in Lacey are sufficient proof to me that he truly loved/loves Marian. He’s conflicted now because he did his grieving, moved on, and found Regina–fair enough, it’s an interesting story. But I dislike the implications that Marian -should- be dead or that Regina was right to kill her because if she’d stayed dead, Regina could have her guy. Just ew. Worse is if the only way they can resolve it is by breaking up a marriage (with a child involved) or killing Marian AGAIN.
Basically what I dislike here is that Regina’s happy ending is suddenly dependent upon destroying someone else’s happy ending. (And, we saw her heart, Marian’s not an evil person.) That only perpetuates the cycle of creating villains.

He didn’t just ask Rumple for help because Rumple told him prior to the blackmailing that “unless you have something to offer me, I’m afraid I can be no further help.” Rumple was not going to just help Hook. That’s not how the Dark One works. Plus, blackmail might not be the most honorable method, but Rumple really only has himself to blame for getting himself in this dagger swapping mess.
Anyway, here are my likes/dislikes:
Likes
– The Snow Queen. Elizabeth Mitchell is doing great so far, and I like how she’s more of a quiet intellectual villain.
– Getting to finally see Will Scarlet. About time that his appearance on the show is no longer a spoiler.
– Hook and Elsa’s teamwork. Who better for Hook to have as a companion than the very woman who shares a lot of the same traits as Emma? They have a lot of potential on the platonic level.
– Emma and Charming’s daughter/father teamwork. I’m a sucker for Daddy Charming stuff.
– I actually liked the Operation Mongoose stuff, because it’s a chance for Regina and Henry to bond. Plus, if anyone can help Regina learn about the book’s author while keeping her morals in check, it’s Henry.Mixed
– I liked getting to see Hans. Seeing how Elsa met the Snow Queen was cool too, but the flashback segment just felt slow. It’s probably because this is a build up to future flashbacks.
– The Outlaw Queen stuff.October 13, 2014 at 9:25 am #285307RumplesGirlKeymasterHe didn’t just ask Rumple for help because Rumple told him prior to the blackmailing that “unless you have something to offer me, I’m afraid I can be no further help.” Rumple was not going to just help Hook. Except Rumple also said that he was turning over a new leaf, whether or not he is, is beside the point. The point is: ask first. Have Elsa ask, have Emma ask, have Charming ask, have Henry ask…someone that Rumple is less inclined to say no to. Or go to Belle. Tell her what’s going down, and she’ll ask Rumple to help.
