“I don’t know if Zelena is redeemable,” Parrilla adds. “If she’s not willing to look at herself and confront those horrible aspects of who she is, then their relationship can only go so far.” Though, Mader is optimistic that the impending baby could force Zelena to face those issues head-on. “Hopefully it’ll change her in a positive way, or it’ll help heal her in some way, because Zelena’s had a really rubbish life,” she says.
So….Lana is skeptical of Zelena’s redemption and Rebecca is hopeful…..so 5A is definetly Wicked Zelena Phase, hopefully something big occurs in 5×10 that will change her or at least have an affect on her enough to mellow her out in 5B.
Fortunately, Robin Hood has no plans to leave Regina’s side, even if he feels an obligation to his unborn child. “There’s no confusion in my head playing him, he loves Regina and only Regina,” Maguire says. “If anything, he’s more clear about his objective that he loves Regina. He sees Henry and Roland and her as a family now.”

Fighting the Darkness. Emma, meanwhile, surfaces in the Enchanted Forest after emerging from a puddle of black goo. It’s there she meets Rumple. Well, actually, it’s not really Rumple — it’s a manifestation of the Dark One’s powers that is masquerading as Rumple. Needed to say, he’s whispering evil nothings in her ears and trying to get her to give in to both darkness and magic.
I knew it! Emma and Dark One Rumple will be like Jesus and Satan when Jesus was wandering the desert and Satan was tempting him. Only difference is we know sooner or later Emma’s going to give in and fall into darkness.

September 23, 2015 at 9:46 am #308349kranenParticipantNow that I’ve seen the episode again (I enjoyed it even more the second time btw), I thought it might be a good idea if I dismiss some things that the media have over hyped over the summer as well as give you all a few warnings about other things. I haven’t read any of the other articles about the screener so I’m not sure if other sites have touched on any of these. Minor spoilers. Especially the last one.
1) According to a lot reports, Henry would instantly regret snapping the pen and we would feel the consequences. Not true. Didn’t happen. The whole author thing was bought up but it literally consisted of 3 lines. Nothing else was mentioned and I doubt it ever will be again.
2) Don’t expect to get to know the Camelot characters right away. They are barely in the episode.
3) It is explained why Rumple is training Dark Swan. However no explanation is given as to why the same thing never happened to Rumple when he first became the Dark One.
4) Charming doesn’t say much at all. He has maybe 3 lines (if that). Granny probably says more than him.
5) There were filming pictures of Dark Swan destroying the beer garden. This has either been cut or wasn’t for 5×01 after all.
6) No Pig-Frog. Sorry Watcher.
7) Something happens at the end of the episode that has been done before (more than once) so I feel like fans will be annoyed with it.
And on that note, time for me to get off the internet again before I say too much and get in trouble.
September 23, 2015 at 9:52 am #308350RumplesGirlKeymasterAlright y’all. I’ve seen the premiere and I get to give a few teases. (ONCEpodcast has access to screeners. Matt got 401 last year, if you recall).
I won’t say too much because everyone should enjoy it on Sunday, but here are some highs, lows, thoughts, and reactions.
Out of a possible 10, I’m giving it a very solid 8. I agree with @Kranen that it’s one of their better premieres. Sort of along the lines of “New York City Serenade” though this one ranks lower for me by a few hairs. It’s not as confusing as I thought it would be, though we very clearly jump to several different times in history (1989, Camelot of some indeterminate past, present day, and the future–6 weeks, to be precise). It’s actually pretty easy to follow because the jumps happen at the beginning and end.
A few narrative points
–You’ll learn something about the Dark One’s dagger within the first five minutes. I kinda loved the reveal, if I’m being honest. It makes all the sense and it sets up (possibly) how the Darkness needs to be erased?
–Cute (and very obvious) reference to Disney’s “The Sword and the Stone” that also sets up where I think they’re going with Emma this season. But Merlin….totes mysterious, y’all.
–Darkness!Rumple and Emma were very funny together. It’s another side of Bobby as Rumple that was delightful. As if we took Dark One! Rumple and removed all the humanity he had and added more snark.
–Merida’s storyline is explained (and I’m going to reaffirm that she’s the one getting an LGBT storyline this season)
–Ship stuff galore, for CS and OQ with a small bit of Rumbelle. If you’re a fan of those then you’ll love the very ship-y moments. Also, there definitely some obvious SQ bait.
–Zelena is literally crazy. I mean, we knew that but….I think she got crazier?
–A few squabbles amongst those left behind, but quickly resolved.
–Decent enough CGI for Camelot, though you don’t see a lot of it.
–FRUSTRATING ENDING. Like, super frustrating. This type of storytelling is becoming a problem on OUAT because this trope is being used to the hilt on this show and it’s getting old and it’s getting old FAST. I probably would have given the premiere a higher rating if not for this ending simply because it has been done *to death* by OUAT.
–However, JMo does a nice job as Dark! Swan in the brief moment we see her.
Funny bits
–“…your turn.” I laughed so flipping hard for so long.
–“I like her spunk! Break her neck!”
–“Do you enjoy knitting?”
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"September 23, 2015 at 9:57 am #308351kranenParticipantLove how we both posted some teasers at almost the same time and a few of them were hinting at the same thing 😉
September 23, 2015 at 12:11 pm #308352hjbauParticipantOnly a six week time jump? That is surprising. So Zelena is still pregnant.

Oh yea!
So I have a question, is there a time jump before going to Camelot? Or just the 6 weeks spent in Camelot?
