I don’t think the relic is the holy grail. How will a cup help regina talk to a tree? The waters of lake nostos had the power to undo magic and restore people right? Perhaps they need the water. Or maybe the cup is like, hidden at the bottom of the lake which gives it its healing properties.

I could buy that. But then again I know nothing of arthuian legend so there could be some magic spork that gives knights the power to speak to trees for all I know.

I’d laugh if the so-called ”relic” was an iPhone or a typewriter or some other item (past or modern) from our world. I realize that ”relic” means something from the past, but what if it was a modern item that they think is from the past advanced civilisation?

Back to reality, seriously though, what could this relic be?

This is what will be used to contact Merlin in the tree xD

Cora’s not exactly the most trustworthy person, and it’s only by her word that we believed him to be dead anyway. I’d say the chances are 50/50 he’s alive. Slightly disappointed that it looks like Belle’s part will be small, if she’s there at all. (Neal’s babysitter, sigh. I love her with baby Neal but…)

I think we might see Belle in Merlin’s tower doing research ….. that seems to be her main purpose …. maybe both  babysitting while in the tower…. you can get a lot done with a sleeping baby.

As far as I know, there is no magical spork in Arthurian legend….

As for how could a cup help Regina talk to a tree? Easy…water. Water is often a conduit that allows people to talk to another person because the idea that all water is connected and comes from the same place. It’s why you often see people using a basin with water in it as a way to “spy” on others. The cup is enchanted and the water serves as a mirror.

This is OUAT. If they want it to be the cup, then it’ll be the cup.

But like I said a page back, I have a gut feeling they won’t be calling it the Holy Grail. That opens a host of new problems so it’ll get a different name.
