ParticipantThis thought just occurred to me. It seems like for the first time ever, the fourth episode of the Season is NOT a Rumple centric. Season 1 we had “Price of Gold”, Season 2 we had “The Crocodile”, Season 3 we had “Nasty Habits”, and Season 4 we had “The Apprentice.” I guess this is like when the second episode of Season 4 wasn’t a Regina centric, despite all previous second episodes being so, but a Charming centric instead.
Well I just read this from an article posted 10/09/15:
The producers said that the villainous Morgan le Fay will not appear in the show, but that next week’s episode will go into the back story of the first Dark One who they jokingly referred to as “Steve.”
So it’s not Rump centric but its dark one centric. YAY!

I think that article might have misquoted what Adam and Eddy said at the panel, as I was there. I recall them saying that we would see the first Dark One later, but I don’t believe they said next week. In fact, they said that next week’s episode would be Arthur’s backstory, which adds up with all the behind the scenes photos from when 504 originally filmed.

Yes you’re right; that’s actually strange because he *just* woke up in time for his traditional episode

Also with the title of the episode

ParticipantAdam and Eddy have lost it….how can you tell the Merlin & Camelot Mythology without showing Morgana…..that’s like having green eggs without the ham!

ParticipantIs anyone else confused about why Snow and Charming are wearing their camelot clothes in Granny’s diner with Lancelot? I think this scene is a flashback. Maybe Lancelot never makes it to SB and they head to where Granny’s dinner is in the EF to hide the dagger.

I said this in another thread, but with Emma around as the Dark Swan and Zelena still around, perhaps they felt they didn’t need another villainous witch for this storyline? Not to mention that Nimue (the Lady of the Lake) will likely play a magical role, too.

Not if Morgana is merged with Guinevere as a OUAT character…. #shadycamelotisshady

ParticipantIt’s always possible they are lying. They could be throwing us off. She could be the first dark one and appearing later and they are throwing us off the trail by saying that she isn’t showing up, and implying that the first dark one is a male (“his name is Steve”) which seems odd.
I just don’t think they’d do Camelot and NOT bring in Morgana.

I think it’s likely that they’ve merged Morgana with other characters. Guinevere, being one of them, but also Emma. A dark enchantress with powerful magic trying to take away something that is Arthur’s?
