It’s nice to see the old human side to Rumple again, after enduring his villainous character arc all last Season.
Yes it is. But how long until the revert him back….?

I don’t see him going back to being the Dark One, when it seems pretty clear that this Season is all about destroying the Dark One curse once and for all.

To the Dark One? No. Villain? Possibly. The 510 BTS pics…well. They mean something. I’m just not sure what.

Excuse me, I’ll be in the corner holding Rumple.

Seeing his more self-aware side makes me even more worried that they’ll try to re-villanize him. Or some other form of #bold storytelling. *twitch* I have this nagging although possibly unfounded feeling that character self-reflexivity combined with sage advice on OUAT tends to be a liability as far as long term survival is concerned.
I do wonder what Merida is supposed to do. Go raid Regina’s apple tree and play William Tell?
October 22, 2015 at 4:34 am #310576TheWatcherParticipantDid Merida just try and kill Emma? Hardcore, Merida. Hardcore. Also I still think this whole make rump brave enough to pull the sword thing is stupid. And makes no sense. I thought only Arthur could do that and everyone else would turn to dust if they tried. It just had to be a brave person? Almost half the cast should be able to pull that sword.
Also Neal reference ftw!!!"I could have the giant duck as my steed!" --Daniel Radcliffe

Geee I wonder why

I’m bothered that learning to be a hero = learning to fight.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"October 22, 2015 at 12:37 pm #310597BelleOfTheBallParticipantSo i am absolutely NOT on board with this whole “Make Rumple a hero” arc. Not that I dont want to see Rumple as a hero, i think he deserves a redemption arc more than anyone else on the show. But taking the curse out of him and then saying he can be the greatest hero of all?? Okay I guess all those people he killed didn’t taint his heart at all. He was only the most feared villain for like 200 years. He isn’t earning it. I think he could earn it. But i’d like to see him struggle with the loss of his power that he loved so dearly. Rumple didn’t have his powers in Season 1 SB, but we still saw him as a trickster. Why is it different now?
That being said, why isn’t Emma going for Arthur? Are there different rules for the sword and who can wield it in SB? I would think she would go for the guy who legendarily pulled the sword from the stone, but i guess that would ruin Rumple’s “redemption” plot.
