ModeratorSo I was right. The Dark Ones needs to sacrifice other lives to remain among the living. The bizarre Hook and Evil Queen flashback takes place right before she sends Hook after her mother. There actually is a gap between scenes where that can be squeezed in. Odd that Merida, Arthur, Guinevere, Violet and Sir Morgan are absent. We know they filmed, and it would be weird to see all of them on the cutting room floor. More than likely, the press release just didn’t include them, and they’ll still appear.

Most likely. I thought it was weird that they weren’t mentioned as well.

Storybrooke is in danger. Must be finale time.

Gee. I wonder who dies in the end.

So they meet in Belle’s cell, Regina reveals her plans then the new stuff in which she makes Hook face his father (for reasons) before dispatching him to Cora in WL.

Perhaps this is just my wishful thinking because I’d rather they not try to shoehorn in a flashback scene that’ll feel like a timeline retcon. But that sort of sounds like Regina did the thing before he ever came to her castle to find Belle. It’d fit better IMO if Regina had been spying on him beforehand because she’d set him this “test” and that’s why she’d known he was heading for her castle, which is why she appeared to him at that particular moment.
Could even help explain Hook being so riled up in that moment when he went to Belle, if he’s just been dealing with his father who he hates. Could even explain how Hook even knew to go look for Belle in Regina’s castle, if Regina herself had dropped the info in some way as part of the test.
Like, after she’d seen that he’s fine with getting violent with a parent who mistreated you, she lured him to her castle by magically dropping some info about Belle, so she could snag him for the Cora gig.
