New Child-Baelfire does not look like the others (he has lighter skin, for one thing). According to IMDb, Sebastian Wilkinson has a TV movie coming up, so he must have been unavailable (or, you know, four years older, but this Bae still looks older than Sebastian did in “The Crocodile”).

Yeah, i thought he was like 4/5 years old when Milah left, this young bae looks like maybe 7-8 years. And he really looks different from everyone that played young Bae, in fact if they they were to pick a older kid they may as well keep Sebastian.

I have to say, as someone not that interested in the show anymore, the prospect of a present-day Gold and Milah reunion is surprisingly compelling to me. I think they have more potential dramatic meat than the Hook/Emma angle (which will also probably be tackled, much to my chagrin.)

I feel as though cynical Gold will feel a lot more natural as Milah’s ex than Woobie Rumple did, haha.

The other young Bae was at least 8, so he would be way too old to play this young now. This kid looks younger to me then the Bae in that other episode. Eh, maybe they are around the same age. All i know is the other Bae was not 4 or 5. He came up to Rumpel’s shoulder.

Dean Petriw’s Baelfire from this episode:

Sebastian Wilkinson’s Baelfire from “The Crocodile”:

    Dylan Schmid’s Baelfire:

    I have feary*!

Based on the fact that Dean looks nothing like Sebastian, Dylan, and MRJ, as well as the flashbacks in “Swan Song,” I’m beginning to wonder if Nealfire is actually Bae 2.0… Plus, this Baelfire seems to be more into nature than Nealfire.

*Feary: A combination of “fear” and “theory.”

He looks enough like Bae. I think it works fine.

Agreed, and I can’t really fault them when both Dylan and Sebastian have aged. A recast was inevitable.

So here’s a last minute theory.  Though I’m sure it’s not true, as I no longer expect the show to make this much sense.  😉

Anyway.  So assuming it is a snake bite or something as speculated above, and Rumple and Milah must make some kind of deal to save Bae’s life:  A deal necessarily requires a price, so, what is that price?!?  What is the cost of saving Bae?

What if it is something like this.  He is brought back from (near) death, on the condition that his life can never be saved in a similarly magical way again.  That is, whatever intervention is being done to interrupt death can only be done once to any person.

If it were the only option to save his life, of course they would accept that price, because if he died then and there, there wouldn’t be a second chance to save him anyway.

    …

So maybe that is why Neal cannot be brought back to life now!  😮
