"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"April 8, 2016 at 11:51 am #321143SlurpeezParticipantHook just comes across as being really ungrateful for what the others have done for him. You’d think the writers would try to write him in a way where he’s at least likeable but apparently not.
^^ THAT
You go, girl.

Oh, the audience knows about it so it means every character on the show knows that too, some viewer must have told her.
"All your questions are pointless"
April 8, 2016 at 1:27 pm #321160KebParticipantIt is possible that Emma spoke to Belle about it. Or that Merlin said something to Belle in the 3.5 seconds between that and his death (they were briefly in the same room together–Belle’s the one who notes that Merlin wiped himself out trying to resist Excalibur).
It’s not their worst continuity error ever, but yeah, annoying that we have to bridge that gap.
On the other hand, someone told Belle where the babies were staying, so…there had to be SOME communication off screen.
Belle’s absolutely right, but like Henry with Regina she’s probably going to have to accept SOME dark magic. (There still has to be a dual compromise for this relationship to work, but she’s totally fair in calling some shots right now.)

Ahhh, but isn’t that dangerous? “Yes, dear. You can use dark magic for this case because of reason XYZ.” What happens next time? Should it really be a case by case basis or should be simply No Dark Magic, Full Stop.

I agree. Where do you draw the line? It’s a little bit here, a little bit there, then some more next time and more after that. In fact that is exactly how addictions start: you have a substance (alcohol, drugs) and you get a buzz so you keep doing it to get that buzz, however over time you body starts to build up a resistance so then it takes a little bit more of the substance to get that same buzz and over time it’ll just keep building and building until you end up with a full blown addiction.
My question would be what defines dark magic? what makes magic dark? Is it a force that can be used for good AND evil like the internet and it all depends on the user, or is there an actual this magic is bad/this magic is good mentality going on?
Rumple was the “light one” in the AU although in reality he was the “dark one” (he said in the AU that the magic had no price because it’s light magic yet throughout the show we’ve constantly been reminded that ALL magic comes with a price). The fairies use magic and there supposed to be good (although Blue is sneaky fairy). If light magic and dark magic are separate entities, why can’t Rumple just tap into light magic? What makes the dark one the “dark one”?
All magic comes with a price!

I agree….Now as a fan of the Kingdom Hearts games and certain elements of Star Wars Expanded Universe, there have been many a tale that “Darkness” is not equate to “Evil” . Kingdom Hearts especially since it has characters who wield “Darkness” but aren’t Physchotic evil people bent on world domination. Even some in Star Wars have thought that studying both aspects of the force both Light and Dark has more meaning towards balance then just studying the light.
But that probably won’t happen hear.
Heck i’ll go even one further….in a lot of anime’s where there angles and demons…the angles are the bad guys and the demons are the good guys…go figure.
