I will be counting on this thread to add insight until I can watch the episode…. I will have to spoil myself because I will not be able to wait until a pay for view is available to watch.

Favorite Dialogue:
“Your turn” – Lancelot
“Give it a rest, guyliner.” – Regina
“You can still give birth without a tongue.” – Regina
Like the most:
RumpleDO – I prefer fairy-god rumple, but I digress. He gave the episode a very pyschlogical thriller type feelRegina’s new zingers – obviously
The dwarves standing up for themselves and coming along to Camelot – It’s about time they got some more screen time
Merida – For thr most part. Her arrival was kind of forced but I found her enjoyable
Liked the least:
Robin and Zelena discussing the conception of Zelena’s child – Blech! We know what happened, we know it was without consent, please for the love of all that is good writers do not discuss this again
Regina shotgunning the anti-magic cuff onto Zelena – Congratulations on moving the plot along writers, but no???
Hook’s heart stealing potion – See above. Also, plot hole!
Ending – For once can we have a season where people actually know what has happened for a change?
Blue – Blue, honey your time has passed. You’re better off actually being Mother Surperior at this point.

Liked:
Basically everything.
That silent moment between Regina and Snow White at Granny’s Diner with Emma’s Baby Blanket….it was silent but based off of their looks, you can practically tell Regina wanted to tell Snow she was sorry for being responsible for her losing Emma the first place, but that it also wasn’t the right place and time to have that discussion.
Robin instantly knowing that Zelena was impersonating Regina, yep, that seals it….OutlawQueen Is True Love/Soul Mates!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing how he couldn’t tell Marian from Zelena, but that’s none of my business. (sips tea)
The sass-offs between Regina and Hook, and then Regina and Zelena forever amazes me!
Regina and Henry protecting Roland at the diner…. (wipes tear) I live for the Locksley/Mills Family Moments!
Merida was surprisingly interesting….I thought she was going to be a boring newcomer, but the actress breathes life into her character very well that’s grasped my attention.
That CGI Tornado!
“Out dwarves…adults only!” – BEST LINE OF THE NIGHT!
And then that ending!!!! Dark Swan Emma warning everyone like that….seems Emma took some notes from Grandma Regina’s How To Crash An Event Book!
Disliked:
Zelena…Zelena…Zelena….sit your wicked tail down and at least try to co-operate for once.
I’m conflicted with the whole Hook and Henry thing, on one side I disapprove of him encouraging such behavior for a “twelve/thirteen” year old…on another side, I can see where Hook probably didn’t have to do too much because less we forget, Henry still has Neal and Emma’s blood in him.

September 27, 2015 at 9:21 pm #308544RumplesGirlKeymasterWelcome back everyone! I hope everyone had a good summer off (or those of us who stick around, let’s go!)
This is obviously my second time seeing the premiere since I got to screen it. I didn’t like quite as much as I did the first time round. There is some really clunky dialogue and Merida’s insertion felt sloppy; she didn’t really need to be there except to set up an obvious story later down the road. The SB moments were flat but the Enchanted Forest Emma and Rumple stuff was on point, which makes for a nice balance.
LIKED
–Emma and Dark One! Rumple. This was really fun to watch. Bobby seems to be having more fun once again. His performance this last season never felt like it was the Bobby we’ve known for so long, and it was great to have that sparkle back. As someone who is a huge fan of archetypes and cosmic storytelling (shock! for those of you who have known me now these five years…) this is the stuff I’m really moved by and interested in. So, if the writers can focus on *this* aspect and leave the Shipping nonsense alone, I’ll be happ(ier).
–“…your turn” Honestly, I’ve been giggling over this line for a week now.
–Snow’s line about putting aside their nonsense to go and save her daughter.
–The dwarves storming into Granny’s
–Actually decent CGI for the tornado lifting Granny’s.
–Sword and the Stone playing in the background; it’s a nice touch.
–Emma as the Dark One. Thank god they didn’t go with the SDCC outfit. That was horrible. But here she looks good. And she feels creepy enough.
MIXED
–Hook and Regina taking center stage to save Emma. Snowing should have a bigger role. They are her parents. I know TV is a business and they are playing to the most popular fanbases and ships, but that doesn’t for good storytelling make!
–Most of the SB stuff. It felt a little too flat but there were some good moments, like Regina’s snark. But then they go and have the Apprentice given Exposition before passing away. Such an overused cliche.
–Henry didn’t regret breaking the quill at all! We were told he would. But, at least Henry got lines and stuff.
DISLIKED
–OMG THE ENDING. I HATE THIS ENDING SO MUCH. I cannot with Amnesia…AGAIN (and again). WHY?! Just WHY?!
–Hook trying to have Henry break all the rules AND free the woman who killed his father. Come on. Stop this, OUAT. If you want me to be at least moderately accepting of Hook as Henry’s potential step father, then stop showing that he’s a truly horrible influence.
–Blue Fairy once again is just a plot device and apparently not even remotely powerful.
–JMo’s hair was a hot mess.
–Zelena having any part to play at all. I cannot stand her. And she basically admitted to raping Robin. But OUAT will never actually delve into that. They just leave problematic consent out in the air and never touch it again.
–Regina enchanted Hook’s hook and it was a one time use. Plot holes and inconsistencies like that drive me nuts.
–“The fight against my darkness begins now” I cannot with dialogue like this. It’s clunky and awkward.
Overall, it still get a nice passing grade from me; better than the 4A premiere. They just need to learn to ease up on the throttle and focus on ONE thing–like Emma’s dark one curse.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"September 27, 2015 at 10:13 pm #308553KebParticipantFavorites while still processing all this:
–The Beauty and the Beast Rose (but why didn’t she make it more portable? BUT OMG OMG OMG)
–The dagger/Excaliber connection. Blew my mind.
–Belle’s green dress.
–Zelena’s blue dress.
–Merida everything.
–WISPS!!!
–RumpleDO pulling at Emma–well done, creepy, and effective–and shows some of what Rumple must have gone through in his transformation. The way the demons convince you there’s no way out, or no other way.
–Emma catching Merida’s arrows. It was fun to watch.
–Poor Kay. But it was well done.
–Learning Nurse Ratchet (Ratched?)’s name finally after years of just writing “Severe Nurse” like in the credits.Least favorite:
–Plot hole with the heart pulling potion. I like continuity, even if it’s tenuous…but that annoyed slightly.
–Robin kissing Zelena again…squicky.
–Belle only having two lines…but at least she was in most of the group shots for once.
–The six week time jump at the end with amnesia…again…? wha?
–Also teasing us with Camelot and giving us not much, but that’s clearly intentional to get us to come back next week so I get it.Keeper of Belle's Gold magic, sand dollar, cloaks, purple FTL outfit, spell scroll, library key, copy of Romeo and Juliet, and cry-muffling pillow, Rumple's doll, overcoat, and strength, and The Timeline.
