-Charming actually had something to do.
-The rubbery toadstool Lol prop design.
-That Arthur was shady, as I suspected. I wonder if Merlin’s prophecy said that the gang would bring about the destruction of Camelot? Is Arthur a hero forced to make horrible choices? Or is there something else going on? I still think he is the one who trapped Merlin in the tree, and is trying to root out the savior.
Disliked
-Regina’s threat to Regina. To EQ-esque. She has come to far for that, surely? Does she really intend to kill Zelena?
And anyway, not sure if threatening her was the best tactic. Zelena now has two choices: find another way back to Oz before giving birth, or killing Regina first to ensure her own safety. In the mean time she will need to earn their trust to make it look like she is redeeming herself.
Unless this is Regina’s way of prompting her to redeeming herself?
Oh, and Regina had tons of chances too redeem herelf. 1) when she was captured by Snowing and was locked up in the tower 2) beginning of season 2, 3) after Cora died/Neverland. That is two more than Zelena, no?
-Continuity error? Was that poison from the snake that Regina used to kill Leopold? If so, why did the knight disappear while Leopold didn’t? Different effect in potion form? Well, wasn’t explained that way so seems like a mistake or let’s-hope-the-audience-will-forget-about-season-one’s-rules-of-magic thing.
Confusions/musings
-How does the lion on Charming’s coat of arms compare with Robin Hood’s tattoo?
-So does Arthur have all his memories then, and is pretending not to have them? Was he the one that brought them over so he could start a new Camelot, I wonder.

This is what I’m thinking. Arthur seems to have his memories.

I loved everything David had to do in this episode. I think it was great for his character. Especially the stuff with Emma. The scene in her office killed me.
The scene with Hook and Emma. I will never be a big suporter of Captainswan but I loved this scene. Emma’s logic considering her being better seemed like Old Emma trying to convince herself that she was fine being the dark one. I don’t think Emma was just there to trick Hook. She seemed genuinaly hurt. Maybe part of her still wants them to save her.
RUMPLE IS BACK!!! So happy he is awake. I am not happy he isn’t with Belle. I can’t wait to see a magicless Rumple. I really hope the writers don’t continue to screw up his character cause they have chances for some really good character development.
Did Camelot seem like a cult to anyone else? The way Griff (i think that was the servent’s name) intensly said For Camelot and then killed himself seemed very cult-like. I enjoyed it.
Arthur shouldn’t have been able to drive a car but jousting in a ford pick up made me very happy.
Emma “If something has your name on it you should hold on to it” Not the direct quote but I enjoyed that part.
I actually really enjoyed this episode. It pulled at my heartstrings and is starting to move the story along for me. Had some amazing character moments, for David especially.
Disliked:
I think at this point magic has no rules. Whatever the characters need there is some magical item that can move the plot forward.
The scene with Zelena. I mean I get that it’s Robin’s kid but they have Hennry and Roland. I actually sided with Zelena. Regina had her chance at happiness and is being a bit hypocritical by not letting Zelena have hers. Letting Zelena go back to Oz with her baby would get rid of that problem.
Theories:
I really think Arthur brought them back to Storybrooke. Maybe Emma found out about Arthur and used her magic to try and stop it, only to become dark.
I feel like something is going to happen with the Dwarves. I don’t know what, they’ve just been popping up a lot this season.
Is it possible that Emma is tricking the dark one? The dark one practically being a character outside of Rumple has made me question this. Maybe Emma wants to be saved and when she gets excaliber she’ll snuff out the dark instead of the light. Kind of a crazy theory but it’s been at the front of my mind.

Well according to Emma, they did something to her. They failed her and apparently let her become dark. We haven’t seen Emma interact woth the Camelot folk have we? She might even know they are there. I want to say Arthur brought the Camelotters (is… is that a thing? Can it be?) but is a bean enough to bring a whole village or whatever? Wait. ARE THE PEOPLE FROM CAMELOT MISSING THEIR MEMORIES? Gwen and Arthur seemed surprised to see each other. If Arthur has his memories, why don’t they. Ugh. So frustrating!!!!

oh yah, I feel like the day pf the dwarves is coming. They did use to fight with Snow white back In the day. They need to have that again and this time, its personal (Dopey).

Charming: I just wish she’d talk to us
Snow: I know, me too
When I read this in the ‘script tease’ I thought it was going to be a small sad conversation not a desperate argument. It gave me the chills. I liked it.
Hook and Emma’s conversation, I loved Hook in that moment. I haven’t really liked Hook since season 3 but for where his character is at the moment that was a big step forwards in character growth.
David and Arthur’s car chasing and then car jousting. Also how did Arthur know how to drive just by David saying “Feets for speed, hands for steering”. Or something like that, can’t quite remember what he said.
Arthur and David’s conversations, It felt like a nice blossoming bromance before discovering that Arthur is indeed Shady.
Belle realizing that that the rose petals were attaching themselves to the rose stem again and dropping the plate in shock.
RUMPLES BACK! although I did think they were going to use Bae’s Shawl.
Disliked Regina and Zelena, I just don’t like it when they are together.

Liked:
“He’s producing Oxygen” LOL
Charming — we’re given some comments by Charming that lends his character much needed depth. He was a lot less milk toast than he usually is, with some occasional bits of unexpected wisdom. Good on him.
Dwarven proletariat beginning to articulate their class struggle. It’s about time.
Dark!Rumple is a trip. “You know, he doesn’t look so good. If I say so myself” and “Crushed his heart under your impractical boot” were some of the most hilarious pieces of dialogue I remember on OUAT. Actually, Hook had some pretty good lines too. “I know that look. The top button turns it on” — what is it with OUAT characters and phones?
Shady Arthur! I don’t think he’s an outright villain however — I suspect the set up here is more MacBeth like, with Guinevere pulling the strings behind the scenes.
Belle seems to be around and active more. Nice to see that.
Lancelot is back!
Mixed:
A fly agaric, really? Much heavy-handed shamanic journey symbolism?
The Dead Marsh and Charming as Frodo. The particular nature and aesthetics of that whole magic mushroom quest seemed completely random to me.
Idiot Squire — seriously, lets publicly run away from the test, and to make it easier to track you, lets wear a bright red cloak. What was that?
Rumple waking up via Hook’s cutlass. Everything that I dislike about the rewriting of the Rumple storyline to make it more Hook centric is captured right there. What about Neal’s blanket?
Disliked:
Regina going all EQ on Zelena. It seemed like a gratuitous regression for Regina’s character. She isn’t tested, she isn’t being put in an impossible situation that might trigger her to revert to her old ways. Sister Z is for all intents and purposes fangless at the moment. So why the gratuitous cruelty? While I strongly dislike Zelena as a character, that interaction seemed to me out of context and a bit OOC for Regina. Way to antagonize the expecting mother and push her over the edge, potentially. They’re setting some desperate gambit for a now “sympathetic” mommy-zeleny to save her baby, probably similarly to what they did with Mal. And for that, they need to make Regina bad again.
Other thoughts:
Hook and Emma’s interaction. I think Emma was actually telling Hook the truth — it seems to me that she is trying to trick the DO entity within her, pretending she is going along with the plan, but in fact playing her own game. So I think that she was being genuine when she was telling Hook she was an open book. Hook’s rejection — and especially the way that dialogue was written, seems to confirm that Hook’s love of Emma is rather, shall we say, conditional on his own sense of his conquest of her.
October 12, 2015 at 3:08 pm #309783imaginationParticipantAlso….HOW did he disappear? The venom doesn’t make people disappear. Snows father didn’t disappea
And until you reminded me of this, I didn’t even realize it was a mistake in continuity. Dang it, OUAT.
Maybe there was something in the potion. I mean King L was killed by the snake itself right?

Snowing scene in the sheriff station complete with the Snowing theme.
Belle- She is so adorable. She was so excited that Rumple was waking up. I hope she gets her happy ending with Rumple.
Rumple waking up.
Robin getting fuzzy feelings over his unborn child- I think Robin would be happy to share custody with Zelena if it meant he got to see his child. However, it looks like Regina may end up messing it up for him as she’s driving Zelena to desperation to escape so Regina doesn’t take her child.
The Robin/Hook bromance
The Charming/Arthur bromance- It’s a shame Arthur looks like he’s up to no good although I do wonder if that is what the writers want us to think and it’ll turn out that Arthur is a good guy after all who cares about his kingdom. Although perhaps Arthur is only a villain by proxy in that he’s not evil but because he’s against the “heroes” of the Charming/Mills clan.
Mixed:
Hook acknowledging that he was the villain in the scene when he challenged cripple Rumple to a duel and that Rumple was a good man trying to keep his family together- THIS is what I want to see from Hook, him recognising and acknowledging that his past action were wrong. It’s these little moments when you think that Hook has actually changed for the better and that he can be likeable despite his past mistakes. However Hook then turns it on himself about how he’s the only one who changed for the better and not Rumple and then you’re just like oh for god’s sake. Not every thing is about Hook, it makes him look self-centred.
Disliked:
Regina threatening to take Zelena’s baby- When you’re rooting for Zelena, you know Regina has dropped several rungs on the likeability ladder.
Snow dismissing the dwarves- These are supposed to be her friends. Grumpy even did the GotG thing to help Snow save Regina. Snow just comes across as ungrateful and uppity in this scene.
“Are you really suggesting we move forward in a real relationship?” followed later by “I liked breaking down your walls” then his rejection of Emma- What the hell, Hook? This is the woman you supposedly “love”. This is the woman you pursued for several seasons, now that there’s something “wrong” with her, you don’t want to know? seriously? The CS ship has just taken on a lot of water. That is a horrible way to speak to the woman you love. It’s not real love to reject Emma just because she’s not that “emotionally scarred” woman any more. The “real” Emma is still in there and you’ve just rejected her. You idiot Hook!

If it were so, they should have told us that. Arthur could have told him the potion would kill him and dispose of his body so at least we’d have expected it. He didn’t so now we are left to wonder… A&E really underestimate our ability to recall season’s past. There could have been something in the potion. Perhaps Arthur knows a bit of magic and poofed him away. It seems we will never find out. Alternatively, Snow’s father did disappear… it just happened later and offscreen.
