If it’s seriously Dorothy and Red, I’ll puke.
[adrotate group="5"]April 5, 2016 at 10:45 am #320962Bar FarerParticipantIt will be Dorothy and Red because they want to do “what?! Mulan is not the one to be in the gay relationship?!” twist for the sake of shock value and nothing more, that of course if the relationship will be something more than just ambiguous.

April 5, 2016 at 10:48 am #320963RumplesGirlKeymasterIf it’s not Mulan, the previously established LGBT character, that’s a truly terrible narrative point.
But what’s even worse is if it is Dorothy and Red (or, heck even if it is Dorothy and Mulan) and Dorothy is DEAD. They set up and promise an LGBT relationship to show that they believe in diversity and representation and all forms of love….and then kill one half of the pairing before even canonically establishing said pairing!
Can anyone think of a set photo or anything that would prove that Dorothy isn’t dead??
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"April 5, 2016 at 11:00 am #320967RainbowParticipantI always said would be Dorothy and Ruby, many reasons, 1st Mulan never was declared in show canon Bi or lesbian and after bc they have more freedom with Dorothy and Ruby that have no Disney live action movies coming, unlike Mulan and neither the other 2 have animation movies where they were given male love interests so Disney may not let them do that twist and show Mulan as a lesbian. Especially bc they never said in interviews that Mulan would be part of the lgbt couple.
I even say that since Mulan, Ruby and Dorothy wont appear past this epi, Ruby and Dorothy may end dying and they will parallel Hercules and Meg story epi, and will show them both together movin on to heaven, that will appear to have rainbows, lol.

Unlike Belle, Aurora, Ariel, Jasmine, Tiana, Elsa, Anna and Merida, Disney does not own Mulan, she’s a public domain character and OUAT can do whatever they want to do with her regardless to what Disney want as well as Snow White, Cinderella and Rapunzel.

See I feel like she was. It wasn’t ever said, but it’s why I love that scene with Aurora in season 2. I mean anyone watching that knows what that was.

Pretty much this is how I feel. They have set Mulan up to be in this relationship. It has been hinted at more than once, and if they just make it Dorothy with Red for the shock value, uhhhh I will be so pissed. Especially if Dorothy ends up being dead. Just based on what I have seen in the past, I just will not believe it is Dorothy and Red until I see it.

Yeah you would think. But I remember a lot of fan claiming that Mulan was going to talk to Philip but backed out once she realized that there was a baby now.
It was always clear (to me) that she was in love with Aurora and gay, but since they’ve played it so close to the vest and had Mulan never use a proper pronoun when talking about her love interest…they could, theoretically, change the perception of Mulan’s sexuality.
With that said, I don’t think they will. That’s a lot of backlash that would hit them all at once (first with changing Mulan’s sexuality, and then with–possibly–killing one half of the only LGBT couple on the show). If anything, they’ll keep Mulan vague and undeclared.

Not talking about owning, but talking about previous movies, disney has no movie based of dorothy or little red ridding hood, but they have on Mulan, so disney may say nope, let her not say anything and go fight in EF in the forgotten characters land and made the other 2 lesbians but only for one episode.
We know that they said they wont go back to the rescuing philipp storyline, jamie chung is on a NBc pilot that appears has highly chances of being picked, so if they dont kill dorothy and ruby and they want to develop this later on other seasons, they can only use those characters bc mulan is not available anymore. Unless they go with triangle for one epi, and on that same episode they make ruby chosing dorothy over mulan."I offended you with my opinion? Ha, you should hear the ones I keep to myself".

Actually:
But Dorothy is a possibility because of her relationship with Ozma in the books.

They would get so much backlash….like wow. Like I just thought it was so clear what she was crying about in that scene. I thought it was clear as day, but apparently others feel differently.
