The bird on Jafar…..is that actually a real bird? If not, it actually looked pretty good
ON AFTERBUZZ ONCE ( I think) podcast the actress playing JASMINE comment how they had problems with the red bird not doing it’s stunts correctly….. I also think the bird would poop on people to… that was a problem.

I think HOOK is taking a page out of EMMA’s playbook. She refused to let her die when he wanted to die after a heroic act. She turned him into the DARK ONE in order to save him. She even went to the underworld to fetch him.
I think HOOK has gone against Emma’s wishes and that is why he kept the shears…. He is going to save her even it she does not want to be saved. .
Well, yes. It’s supposed to be completely analogous to what happened in Camelot. And it gets romanticized as “when you love someone, you’ll do anything for them, even go against their wishes and desires because you know what’s best for them, for you, and for the pair of you.”

Yes, this. From last week, we’ve been all called upon to recoil in horror at Rumple’s high-handed antics. But Emma’s “I will watch the world burn just so that you live” or Hook’s current palming the shears for a rainy day are meant to be read as mildly misguided, but largely romantic gestures. Excuse me if I fail to swoon.

I’ll be one of the first to defend the Captain Swan relationship. However, I do not condone lying. Lying is never healthy and it reflects poorly on their relationship this season.
