wonder if there is a significance to the fact that EQ is holding a yellow apple.
ok so I’m not crazy. I thought it was just green and that i was just seeing yellow because logic. What with it being Zelenas house i would have guessed she’d have green apples instead of red. Not yellow. Maybe yellow is supposed to signify Gold?

Definitely yellow. There’s some yellow-red apples in that bowl. I too would have imagined that Zelena is more of a Granny Smith kinda gal.

You mean the symbolism is around “Golden delicious”? I just can’t seem to find a good gif for *recoils in horror,* but *recoils in horror.*

That would fit with the dialog. What also strikes me is how the EQ picked up the apple, toyed with it and then replaced it. Could this signify that nothing happened beyond the kiss? If I were directing this scene, I would have had her take a bite of the apple to insinuate that they “spun some gold”. Or if their….thing was ongoing, she could have taken the apple with her.
Maybe its symbolic for Zelena. She’s no longer green with envy. She’s changing. Quite literally lightening up. Maybe they just had some yellow apples lying around and though “eh, its an apple. No way the fans will over think this.”

Isn’t that what a lot of parents say about their kids when they are toddlers? Lol. It’s the closest thing to a maternal sentiment that the EQ’s ever going to express (towards Snow, I mean).
Is she inside Snows dream? Or did she teleport her to the middle of the woods?
