I agree that it’s a metaphor for the split personalities, so it might not be centred on one character. I also think this episode might be where that storyline is wrapped up. If MatthewPaul’s schedule predictions are correct, then this is the last episode before the winter hiatus. So it would be the logical episode to conclude that arc.

I would love to see a riff on Till Eulenspiegel. Though that’s probably way obscure, come to think of it.

I would love to see Till too. The show needs a trickster now that Rumple has been squashed into one dimension.

Knowing this show….Rumpel would be Till.

I was thinking something similar—the split personality storyline gets wrapped up (episode 7 being when Regina and the EQ join back together) and episode 8 finishes off the land of untold stories. After winter hiatus we move into Aladdin/Savior mythology more properly.

I think that unless they kill Jekyll and Hyde really quickly, which i hope they do, then episode 7 should be when Jekyll and Hyde die from being split, not when the entire split arc ends. The Regina split arc can only end before that if Jekyll and Hyde have already been gotten rid of earlier, in my opinion. I just want the plot to feel more open and not be so obvious. I am sick of how obvious a lot of things are.

It is like the second side of the coin. Certain things are so random as to not make sense within the context of the how and within the context of what certain characters would do. Other things are so obvious, that it drags the whole show down while you just wait for it to happen.

Hmmm, good point. I was sorta thinking that Jekyll and Hyde are dealt with in “Strange Case” (episode 4)

Hank Harris and Sam Witwer haven’t been spotted on set in a while, either. Last I heard of them was when they were reportedly doing some re-shoots at the end of August, which was also when 605 was being filmed. So yeah, I think 604 will likely be Jekyll and Hyde’s curtain call.

Well good. I was hoping they would go by 603, so 604 would be great. That would work for getting rid of the Evil Queen by the midseason finale then.

Yes, and yes. I think Hades was meant to have a trickster quality to him, but, in retrospect, the writing didn’t pull it off — all I can remember at this point is a slightly over the top megalomaniacal jerk. And the only time we’ve seen Rumple’s trickster side recently is with Clippy!Dark One.

Would that not produce a de-facto mid-season split/reboot, since they will need a new villain next half arc? I thought they didn’t want to do that? Ugh, I just hope we’re not going to get another 1/2 season of “oh, we need to kill some time until the next big bad, lets have Rumple muck things up for everyone” plot zombie.

I think Jafar/Aladdin plot comes back into play post-split personality story.
