Did some looking into Mr. Karp–he’s been part of the “Misc. Crew” for OUAT since 2015, mostly as a writers assistant. Looks like this is his first written piece.

I was thinking Rumple & Black Fairy, but that’s also a strong possibility. Hmmm…this will certainly be interesting to see a piece of the Black Fairy’s history.

Maybe Gideon/Black Fairy story in the present and Black Fairy flashback for the past showing where she fell in love with Malcolm, had Rump, and then abandoned him for some reason. The flashbacks will be some kind of parallel to the present, as always, and it will show her leaving rump behind vs her embracing Gideon.
I don’t think we will get a flashback of Black Fairy and Gideon in the dark realm.
