ParticipantI am so confused right now. What does the “darkness” have to do with anything? Or did the Evil Queen effectively cast the curse by adding *her* darkness to both halves of their heart? If that is the case then I can accept this more, because Regina is literally removing someone elses darkness, not their own. That being said, their hearts look squeaky clean when she is finished with the spell so it is as if all of their darkness has been completely removed.
ALSO – the much bigger plot hole. Why on earth wouldn’t the Evil Queen have told Regina about the failsafe if she had truly been redeemed/trying to help. It is a pretty big thing to forget to mention – that could result in one or both of Charming/Snow dying.

KeymasterAnyway, come on writers, you have a solution already: simultaneous TLK. Again, continuity please and no more convolution. How can they expect a renewal after this? #askthenerd
Easy. Because the people who decided on cancellation or renewal at ABC aren’t writers and artists. They’re businessmen/women. They don’t really care if a show is logically consistent or has a good solid narrative with refreshing characters. They care about how much money they can get from ad buyers with that show. While on a personal level the execs might have shows they really like (Paul Lee was apparently known for this and would renew some of his pet projects even when it wasn’t financially smart–ie, Galavant S2) it all comes down to the $$. ABC can still make decent money on OUAT through the commercials aired, the products sold, and the Disney tie ins. So, while the show is slowly getting more holes than a leaky rowboat, the execs don’t particularly care.

ParticipantI really think we won’t ever know how much the ABC execs ruined this show. I think they did though and that Eddy and Adam aren’t strong enough to stand up to them.

Yeah, I’m not sure either. It’s very late in the game to be introducing new characters really.

Especially new characters who live in a place we visited many season ago and was never seen, hear, nor mentioned.
