620 (Musical Episode) – Poster

You might see the hook shaped as a swan. You might also see it as a giant question mark. The only definite thing there is Hook’s hook, with a couple of rings on it. Remove the rings and it would pretty much be the poster for “Once Upon a Hook”.

Once Upon a Captain Swan is a wonderful show.

Yes, I’m bitter because instead of getting moral ambiguity, complicated familial dynamics, compelling and immersive plots, worlds with a consistent and internal logic, complex themes and characters who don’t just fit into standard archetypal molds and are given space to develop with respect to their traits and personalities, I get writers who treat their viewers as if they were morons, and I don’t like being treated as if I’m a moron.

Bitter because we want a better story from a tv show? Or bitter because we have differing opinions? I really cant stand how with some people its always about a ship and not the show or characters in general. But when it comes to Hook, that’s all hes got so i guess I get it. I don’t know how many times I have to tell you this, Michael: This isn’t about being upset about Neal or SF. Hook is a terribly written character, CS is boring, repetitive cliché ship. Not everyone enjoys that. You can just accept the drek if u want it, that’s fine, but you cant stop others from having opinions and viewpoints.

But anyway, no I just think the wedding episode and the musical episode should have been separate and this poster would have been a fine poster for the wedding episode, and I agree, having a swan shaped hook would have been quite pretty, but I expected something more musically for the musical episode. Sue me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Alot of CS fans left this site, and a lot of people stopped watching the show. If the other places are predominantly CS fans and you don’t want to hear anything but praise about Hook, im sure they will welcome you with open arms.

Although I have to say I love the B.I.T.T.E.R in here over the focus on CS

I know! The pagans are always very hard to convert. It’s a thankless task.

Anyway, I think you’re confusing bitterness with critique. Just because people criticize something, it doesn’t mean that they are doing it from a place of bitterness. I personally am doing it from a place of absolute glee and enjoyment.

CS is just a symptom of the show’s overall bad writing and narrative deterioration, which is what most people here critique. I suspect there are many reasons why people end up here —  for me it’s because there’s a certain level of intellectual discussion about the show in general that keeps my attention more than the habitual breathless squealing in fandoms (of whatever shipping persuasion.)

Edited to say: Anyway — musical episode thread! The poster’s fine, though I would have also liked the sort of retro pulpy look a la Buffy.
