Pretty sure that the album is already out. I keep seeing people screencapping and listening to it on Twitter.
International countries got the soundtrack on iTunes early, because it was already May 5th where they live. I think Australia was the earliest country to release it.

It is number 21 in the UK charts at the moment – which is pretty impressive given we don’t even officially have the show on a network here AND given the episode hasn’t even aired yet.
At the time of writing this, it is 13th in the US charts. They must be selling a lot of copies.
Can they just release Zelena’s song so i can have a seat!!! And yea i know i can download it now but still >> i wanna see it!

I can’t wait until this episode airs! I love musicals and the cast can actually sing! I can already tell this is going to be my favorite episode of the season by a long shot.

The dancing is ok, but the song itself is not memorable or as punchy as it should be. Typically villain songs are meant to be the best, but I would say EQ’s song is the weakest of the ones released so far.
Snowing’s song is reasonably catchy. The song suits their characters with their “We consider ourselves heroes therefore we’re morally superior to everyone else” attitude, plus Ginny and Josh have great voices. However, it feels too Disney in the sense that it doesn’t suit the tone of the show we’ve watched for the last 6 years. t’s quite jarring in that way.
Hook’s song is fun and Colin’s great in it. It works better than Snowing’s song in that it’s not AS Disney but it is still too Disney for the tone of the show itself.
My overall opinion of what I’ve seen so far is that, when you take this episode on it’s own, it’s fun and whimsical. However, within the narrative of season 6, it doesn’t work. It’s too out there. The writers would’ve been better off setting this episode as a dream to explain the weird and wackiness yet still keep to the tone of the show that we’ve had since day one.

i think thats the point though. Snowings song is supposed to be the stereotypical love duet disney song. It sounds like classic disney…i do admit it was a bit jarring at first when Snow wakes but i actually really like it the best out of all of them.
As for EQs songs, some of the lyrics are a bit ehhh but..its fun. Shame Rump couldnt sing, im sure his would have been that show stopping villain number. Dark and creepy.
