Idk. I think the final battle is between Emma and Gideon and the Black Fairy really does die in her centric

Either “The Final Battle” refers to the end of the current OUAT (Emma, Snow, Regina, Rumple) OR it’s the final battle in terms of the ultimate light vs dark, good vs evil, and the show ends once and for all.
I think A and E are hedging their bets on a renewal though. I still think without a doubt that they’d name their series finale “Happily Ever After”

No problem! Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Daniel’s been theorizing “could this be the final battle?” since at least Season 4.
The fact that they’re negotiating with those 4 starts tells me they have no intentions on killing anyone off of those 4. Now I’m sure that if people are leaving they will shelve them in some way.
However this sounds pretty final to me.
To my ear, these sound like generic placeholder titles. “The Final Battle” would be a good title for a season opener, though.
