Might be kind of interesting if they split Snow and then Evil!Snow and the EQ team up to take down Good!Regina and Good!Snow

I dunno. I think there might be one centric on Jekyll–why he chose to experiment with that serum, whatever tragic backstory led to his desire to rid himself of his baser desires. That’s typically how A and E go; all arc villains, or even characters around for a shorter period, get some sort of background and context for why they are appearing on the show.

I wonder if they will reveal this immediately to the main characters. I still think EQ is going to impersonate Regina, and she can do that best if they aren’t aware that she has returned. I don’t think I want them to know quite immediately that the EQ is back.

They also shouldn’t have an arc, in my opinion. It seemed like the producers were suggesting in interviews that there wasn’t going to be a villain arc. I don’t know either.

There have been a number of less-than-happy potions, though, like the one that Rumple drank so he couldn’t save Neal from his fate, or the one that Snow drank to forget Charming when she thought he had to marry Abigail or die.
But yeah, I’m on team this-has-to-do-with-Jekyl-Hyde.

Yeah, with the “return to S1 feel” they keep saying. But, at the same time, even in S1 we had mini-arcs and while I’m sure the EQ will be the major threat (just like Regina was in S1) I’m predicting that we’ll have other characters causing issues (new ones, from Forgotten Character Island) for our SBers

Is he even a villain at all? Although I enjoyed the actor’s portrayal of him, I just am not in love with the character itself. Maybe the show can flush him out more and I’ll change my mind.
One thing I will say in regards to villain of the arc half season storylines: It got me excited to see how they would portray said villain. Ex. Pan, Hades, Cruella, Malificient, Ursula, Snow Queen, Elsa, Merida, Arthur, Wicked Witch. With going back to season 1 vibes, I think it ultimately is a good idea. But with season 1, we had the curse, and Regina manipulating everyone. She was the villain. And Rumple was a wild card. With this coming season, are people really excited to see what Mr. Hyde is doing? Do we really want to see Regina’s “split” identity of the EQ? I’m still not buying that this should even be possible. There’s just nothing that has me super excited for this coming season. Perhaps at comic con, they will show us something that gets me going, but right now, I’m kind of luke warm on everything, character wise. Hopefully the writing will be better due to no half season arc with villain of the arc writing, but at the same time, I’m worried nothing is going to stand out. This also seems like they aren’t pushing towards the finish line so a lot of this could be just filler. If they had come out and said this was the last season, I’d be way more intrigued.

Yeah, i agree. I think characters will cause issues. I just hope that Hyde is not a big bad. That there are a lot of many mini arcs or even villains that are just shown for one episode. It is really up in the air though. I have a hard time believing the writers are really going to do anything different because they constantly say they are going to but nothing really comes of it. I guess i just need more information at this time to really make a guess at what is going to happen.
July 20, 2016 at 6:00 pm #325690MatthewPaulModeratorSo there’s another possibility floating around, in regards to this episode title. Here’s a quote from “The Count of Monte Cristo” by Alexandre Dumas:
“But,” said Franz to the count, “with this theory, which renders you at once judge and executioner of your own cause, it would be difficult to adopt a course that would forever prevent your falling under the power of the law. Hatred is blind, rage carries you away; and he who pours out vengeance runs the risk of tasting a bitter draught.”

So maybe the new character played by Craig Horner is a character from that story?
