She is not in the episode.

ParticipantI didn’t think the Black Fairy was in it, and if she was somehow involved in what happens in this episode, i think she would be in it. I think that we have some idea about what is happening in the promo, to the point where it seems to obvious, because we all know way too much. The general audience, for whom the promo was created, wouldn’t even know that promo was about figuring out what happened to Charming’s father.

ParticipantD we even know for sure that this is the episode we find out who killed Charming’s father? I know the name of the episode suggests a murder but perhaps it is something else. I really don’t think they would have Hook be the killer and it being the black fairy is just too easy. But if she isn’t in the episode…..that makes it tricky. Maybe his father is actually still alive?

ParticipantUnless black fairy is posing as blue fairy in the episode. Although I don’t think Blue is in this either.

In one interview, they said we would find out who killed Grandpapa Charming before Easter. That combined with the PR, the promo and the fact that we have the other Pre-Easter centrics more or less lined up (13: Rumple; 14: Regina; 15: CS/Jaladdin;) this is really the only time.

Yeah. I think you don’t bring back King George after four years and don’t make him Charming’s father’s murderer.

Which would be fine if King George stuck around. I want it to be the black fairy bc I know she will be central to the plot down the line. If King George killed Charming’s dad, and then he is just dealt with and everything is wrapped up in this episode and George never comes back, well that would be incredibly disappointing to me. Unless Charming or Hook kills him. But if they just let him out of his cage, to reveal the truth, and then just arrest him again, uhhh how dull.

That’s exactly how I expect this to go. I mean, he was left in a cave for four seasons and never mentioned ever again.

Well if it is in fact King George, and he doesn’t get killed by the end of the episode, consider me in the disappointed camp. I likely will not care for the episode. But anything is possible!
