Seems like this sneak peek confirmed what some of us had theorized: that the Black Fairy created the Dark Curse.
[adrotate group="5"]April 7, 2017 at 4:10 pm #335661MattParticipant*groan* So the Black Fairy can conveniently leave a realm that she was banished to for short enough periods of time to steal children. That seems like they suddenly realised that she was supposed to be banished and that they had referenced her voluntarily leaving the dark realm in order to steal Gideon.
The only thing really that could prevent this being groan-worthy is if the Black Fairy, after being banished/trapped for many years, has managed to amass enough power to potentially weaken the banishment spell. That being said – we don’t know how banishment works and what Blue actually did to cast her into that realm.
April 7, 2017 at 4:23 pm #335662RumplesGirlKeymasterWhen did Blue banish the Black Fairy because we also saw her leave her imprisonment when she went to collect that child from Rumple in the flashback last arc.
I think it is safe to say that she leaves regularly if she is known for stealing children.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"April 7, 2017 at 4:33 pm #335663TheWatcherParticipantSo maybe she created the dark curse as a way to free herself forever from her banishment realm, give her a brand new life, and possibly make herself immortal (since Time stood still in SB).
Sounds legit.

But what the Black Fairy didn’t foresee was that creating such a powerful magic came with a price–she’d have to sacrifice the thing she loves most. But in her case she doesn’t love anything (if they want to go the pure evil route) so was unable to cast the curse? That sounds workable, if we don’t ask why she didn’t just find someone to cast it for her like Rumple did with Regina.

April 8, 2017 at 3:35 pm #335676PriceofMagicParticipantIs it wrong to want Belle to go all “Mama Bear” on Emma and Snow in order to protect Gideon? It’s irritating the fact that Emma and Snow are going to Gideon’s PARENTS “I’m gonna kill him” “I’ll help”. Rumple at least should be threatening consequences if any harm comes to Gideon.
I’m rooting for a RumBelle team up where they go against the “heroes” in order to protect their son.

Do you mean when Emma used Merida and the bear to get Rumple to be brave? I’d all but forgotten about that episode. To be fair, she was the dark one then, though it doesn’t totally excuse it. Emma blackmailing Rumple to get to hell to save Hook while leaving Belle clueless bothered me a lot more since Emma was no longer the dark one. Emma telling Belle and Rumple that she’d straight up kill their son isn’t heoric. I know she’s the sheriff and it’s her job to keep the town safe, but Gideon just tried to make peace with her. I’d understand it if Gideon were trying to kill her again, but flat out saying she’d kill him is a cold threat.

April 8, 2017 at 10:41 pm #335686hjbauParticipantI didn’t watch the clips, but from what i understand about this: Emma has talked to Gideon, Gideon isn’t trying to kill Emma anymore, Gideon wants information about the Black Fairy. Yeah, Emma and Snow are being threatening, but maybe there is more to it then what was said here. I don’t know. I think i need context, but Rumpel and Belle are no one to Emma and Snow. They never have been in any way that matters.
