I actually think it was one of the better episodes in all of OUAT history.
I pretty much like everything including all the new characters. I am very happy with how this seems to be going this far.
I rate it 10/10.

I’m completely with you!! It’s actually awesome.

My take on this episode.
Not bad for a reboot. Unfortunately, Damian Ramirez is a terrible actress and is not doing any kind of justice to Cinderella. I have never been a fan of hers and was really hoping she had been given acting lessons before this role. I really hope she doesn’t ruin this season for me. Let me also say that I hated the casting of Jennifer Morrison originally as I hated her in both House and How I Met Your Mother, but she killed the role of Emma.
I’m very confused about how this new curse works. Why is Lucy the only one who knows anything? How does Jacinda know who Lucy is as it seemed Lucy wasn’t originally taken in the curse from what they showed in the season 6 finale? And how do you integrate fairy tale characters into an already operating city? Are the apartments they live in magically vacant already? Are the rest of the residents of Seattle also under the curse so that they have memories of these people? This needs to be explained.
So far I’m not impressed with Boy Scout Hook or bad Rumple. But I am convinced that Rumple knows they are cursed.
Alice is definitely related to someone, and possibly knows what’s up as well. I think she’s Zelena’s daughter, Robin.
October 8, 2017 at 8:09 pm #343023TheWatcherParticipantI think Hyperion was created just the same as SB was. The only difference is that whereas SB has barriers to keep people inside and prevent others from leaving, Hyperion doesn’t and Tremaine is encouraging others to leave and disperse and outsiders to enter. I don’t think the city was already existing.

Why is there this book of the real fairytales that Henry somehow wrote and no one bought? That is part of the cursed memories, i think, so is the goal of the person who did the curse to somehow create a similar situation as the original curse to then bring their family back together like happened in the original story aka Seasons 1 through 6?
It seems like the storybook that Lucy has is not one of the real magical storybooks. It seems that it is instead part of the like artifice of the backstory created by whomever did the curse. That suggests that the person who did the curse did it for that reason instead of to destroy the family. Though we also have been told that Tremaine is trying to separate the group by buying up the neighborhood which goes against that idea. I am probably thinking about this too much since the writers don’t think about anything.

That makes a lot more sense. Although, it does seem as though Jacinda can’t leave. She had multiple obstacles preventing her from crossing the bridge outside of the city.

Yeah, Herny doesn’t live in Hyperion Heights because he refers to it as an “up and coming” part of Seattle and has to travel to Hyperion Heights to visit Roni’s. I don’t think the families inside HH are prevented from leaving; I think that might be part of Victoria’s curse–people can leave but they are separated from the rest of their family/friends. Isn’t that why they made her a business developer who is trying to gentrify the little town?
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"October 9, 2017 at 11:33 am #343038hjbauParticipantYeah, it isn’t even clear how many fairytale characters there are in Hyperion Heights. So far they all seem to be related or are considered part of the group in some way. Who all has their been casting calls for? Alice, who is probably related. Tiana, who is like an aunt to Lucy. Then Cinderella’s family. Then Henry’s family. Zelena might be in the present day since she is doing a multiple episode thing. Was their some tangled characters?
We will see, i guess, but so far it doesn’t seem like there are many fairytale characters outside of the people who know each other and are considered family.
