This is not OUAT at all, this is complete jumping the shark territory. I am going to assume that time goes by different in this “another realm” cause Henry ages while the others do not. So where it’s been years for him it’s only been months for everyone else.
This show jumped the shark ages ago and when we all said that, others called us toxic and hateful and that we should should just stop watching if all we’re going to do is complain. So….
And I’m guessing the age difference is actually because of the new curse. In SB time stood still, so I guess in this new place time stood still again….maybe?

But this scene nonetheless tore at my feels as Henry’s officially leaving home, and although I’ve decided to give Andrew a fair chance, nothing will ever beat the natural mother/son chemistry Jared had with Lana.
– Another Realm/Many Years Later….it’s nice to see that things haven’t changed! Adam and Eddy aren’t even trying anymore!!! LOL
How does Henry have gas in the FTL though? I guess this is what Colin was referring to? The land without chevron lol
Simplest possible explanation is that Regina enchanted the motorcycle to be able to run without gas. But yeah, even Adam and Eddy were dumbfounded, when Colin pointed it out at the Comic Con panel. lol!
I bet five cookies this will be the exact explanation!
We just met this woman and already we’re tearing her to shreds worse than Drizzella and Anastatia did to her in the movie xD Cinderella: Hi, my name is Cindere– RG: I don’t like your dress. Me: And your carriage is ugly, sweety.
ROFL!!! Exactly!!! Sweet Oz, I just really wish they had chosen a more believable princess with a really believable antagonist! Henry could have fallen in love with an alternative Princess Aurora, and then the big bad would be an alternative, well I still prefer our original Maleficent! And with Maleficent as a big bad, that would’ve been sooooo much better….Lady Tremaine just, I can’t take her seriously!

It’s supposed to be a green vortex, not, as Kranen said, a Sling Ring! Still, major Nealfire feels with Henry going into a beanhole…

There’s a BP Gas station in the forest next to the cement factory that constructed all those top notch high quality roads for the people still driving buggies with horses.
Haha! YES, the cement roads! I saw them and immediately thought what kind of world is this? Lol. I think the opening scenes were decent enough – not the best or worst dialogue we’ve had. I think I would have preferred a more interesting reason for Henry leaving Storybrooke that was revealed through flashbacks. I do appreciate the mentions of Snow, Charming, and Emma – it’s consistent with their promise that the past 6 seasons won’t be forgotten – at least they didn’t already break that. lol

That was my guess as well.

This! I know Henry’s grown up in a magical town with fairy tale characters but no one, at the age of 18, thinks “I need to go find my story!” as a reason to leave home. At least make it sound natural

But this setup (not just for Henry in particular, but how it extends to the whole new premise for the show with all the alternate characters) just feels so…clunky. Awkward. Forced. Urgh.
And did they really just do that with a bean portal? RLY? *facepalm*
July 26, 2017 at 10:32 pm #340680onceaholicParticipantOkay so…
Love the fact we get to see Regina and Henry but….
1) Where did that magic bean come from?
2) Where is Emma and his other parents? They don’t know when he’s coming back so a bit weird to have this scene without all parents present ( and JMo was available for that episode).
3) Dialogue was so amateur (writing, not the actors)
4) Jared’s acting has improved a bit.
5) As others have said bean portals don’t open like that and how on earth is Henry keeping that bike running? Fairy dust?
Poor Lana. She’s better than this.

July 26, 2017 at 10:44 pm #340685TheWatcherParticipantYeah, seriously, you would think the rest of the family would see Henry off on his adventure at the very least.
But I approve of Henry wanting to find his own story instead of telling the adventures of others. He’s a Charming for Stiltskin sake! He isn’t just going to sit around idly watching life pass him by. Screw college. Go battle a dragon, kid. Forget about prom! Go fight a giant! Henry’s 18 right here, eh? Go frollick with all the pretty princesses, Sir Henry Jr. I support you.
But Regina, I seriously don’t buy that she would be cool with this. I bet she spied on him through her mirror a few times.

The way that they talk about happily ever afters and villains and heroes is just stupid. They could have had Henry talk about feeling restless and wanting to go out on his own without him using silly fairytale language. No one talks like that. No one thinks like that. The show did that all better in Season 1 when everyone talked more like real people.

LOL! That is what I was wondering!
