Tonight we got to see a bit of Tiana’s story! What were your favorite and least favorite moments of “Greenbacks”?

.
Not into this episode … had a hard time watching it. The acting was painful to watch…
Princess … no common sense …
Cinderella is a pain non stop ….. although she came around at the end.
Not liking the acting … the plot … the writing
Do like the actor playing Fascilies … but I think because of other things I have seen him in… just not sure when or where.
The frogs kissing was so HOKEY….. BUT it was cute.
I did like the HENRY and Roni scenes … looking forward to next episode via promo… that saved the rating from a ZERO.
.
DRIZILLA is awake … Liking the mystery witch.

I knew Ivy was playing Henry and crew. This means she cast the dark curse right? I’m wondering if no heart was required for this curse because I don’t think she cares about anyone but herself in this realm or the other realm.
Roni and Henry discovering a connection! Yay!
Also, was totally digging Roni in that CGCB shirt.
Mixed:
So they made Tiana a princess of some sort, but only of a small kingdom within another kingdom? Do I have that right? I’m very confused about how her kingdom works. I also am not sure how I feel about her story being totally different.
Looks like we’re moving forward on the missing girl story, and she has a name. I’m just not sure if I care unless it has something to do with the past.
Dr. Facilier was just okay I still think Keith David who did the voice for the movie should’ve played him. He would have made the character a lot more interesting.
Disliked:
Jacinda’s lack of faith in Sabine. She saw how well they did in the pop up, why should a fire change her view and Lucy have to change her mind?
Wreck-It Ralph reference, really?
I really wish they’d give Colin O’Donaghue something more to do. Right now Det. Rogers is so boring and not Hook like at all. They’re ruining a great character (even though he’s not the real Hook)!
No Weaver or Tilly tonight either.
Next week’s episode looks like we might be getting back on track!

i really liked this episode and I am loving this season so far. I honest to god think it’s one of the top 3 seasons of OUAT so far. But anyway:
LIKED:
– the plot twist with the prince being a frog and the frog just being a frog and him turning back into a frog. I totally called it. But still. Very cute.
– Facillier was such a….*trying to find forum appropriate word*…..such a pickle! I wish he would have been a more relevant character. I have thebeeling we will be seeing him again and I can’t wait.
– Sabine is such a dreamer. Inspiring. She is best friend goals.
– Ivy/Drizella is awake OMG!!! She’s pulling the strings and I’m here for it. I’m really guessing she is the one who casted the curse.
MIXED:
– Sabine is a dreamer and I love her but girl if you know we are struggling and u take all our rent money to buy beignet ingredients, we are just going to have to fight because no Just no. Lol I love the whole take a chance message but oh no.
DISLIKED:
– Not a fan of how they changed Tianas character.
– I’m very confused as to how her kingdom is setup. The mom is royalty but her cook of as husband is the one who built their kingdom? Shouldn’t the mother already have had a kingdom? Also why do the taxes of another kingdom effect them??

It’s a standard “meet the character” episode that has an interesting twist on the classic fairy tale, a mythology reveal, and is mostly decently acted. I don’t know that it’s actually compelling and I think Sabine’s plans are incredibly stupid and naive but there’s some good stuff here, namely in the way Adalaide Kane is stealing the show as Ivy/Drizella.
7/10
LIKED
–Drizella is slowly becoming one of my favorite parts of this new season. I like her passive aggressive snark and her killer wardrobe.
–“I think you should pick up a hobby or two.” “…I’ll take that into consideration.”
–“I do have a few friends…on the other side.”
–“Your legs should get a few coins, seeing as they’ll soon be half off.” Gosh, but that’s a GOOD pun.
–“Ralph….wreck it.” I see what you did there, OUAT.
–They both turned into frogs! +10 for that twist; didn’t see that coming even a mile away! Actually started laughing hysterically.
MIXED
–I get that it’s accurate to the time but the whole “finding a prince who will save us” conversation made my insides gag.
–I get that Tiana’s mom’s speech to her about embracing her father’s legacy is supposed to be sweet and encouraging but really…it doesn’t make any sense. Like, it doesn’t solve any money problems.
–Sorry but I agree with Jacinda about this ridiculous dream of Sabine’s. The idea that you can make enough sweet pastries to buy your own apartment or at least pay the rent in an up and coming neighborhood in Seattle is mental. They only made money today because they more or less shut down the chicken joint and dedicated all their time to making the sweets. Eventually they have to reopen Mr. Clucks and serve chicken! Then how will they make enough treats to not only pay for supplies but also to turn a profit?
DISLIKED
–Please, for the love of everything, stop with the “many years ago”
–Really? The stellar idea to earn enough money to own your own apartment and be free of Victoria is for one person to make beignets? That is…unrealistic and dumb.
–I’m not sure what it is, but I find the way Gabrielle Anwar plays Victoria to be really off putting. Maybe it’s her voice or slightly plastic-y face, but she’s just not doing it for me.
–Goodness, the police interrogation chamber is HUGE. Even the fancy cops in NYC don’t get rooms that big.
–Roni just happens to open a locker that has a picture of her and Young!Henry in it? Sure. That’s not overly convenient at all.
–Jacinda used her rent money–money that could keep her child and herself off the streets–to buy a food truck? That currently doesn’t have an oven or even counterspace? Girl, you’re dumb.

I’m pretty sure Drizella meant for Henry to find it, but since Roni came instead it worked just as well. I have no idea why she wants them to know they’re connected, but it’s definitely intriguing.
November 4, 2017 at 8:23 am #344137AKAParticipantOverall a pretty decent episode. I was entertained throughout 8/10
Liked:
The frog was turned into a prince. That was pretty entertaining twist and I enjoyed it.
Tiana discovering that she doesn’t need to find a prince to be her hero but that she was a hero herself she just needed to discover it (love that message especially for little girls)
Dr. Facilier was interesting and intriguing. I hope we get to see a lot more of him
Ivy being the big bad, Kudos to everyone who guessed that. So Ivy is awake along with Victoria, Rumple, and whoever is on the top floor. I don’t think this curse is going to last very long especially with the preview for next week. I wonder what Ivy’s motivation is and why she and the witch are working together to manipulate her mom.
Roni trying to protect Henry even when she doesn’t know that she is his mom.
Mixed:
I am still not feeling Jacinda, I don’t know what it is but she comes off as emotionally impulsive and a little mean. I mean who takes all the money and is perfectly happy throwing her roommate out of the apartment. If the show is going to do this they also need to show us her transformation and guilt afterwards. Instead we got some stupid line about how Lucy called her and talked sense into her. Didn’t buy it. But on the positive side I did like how she talked about how Tiana is always there to lift her up and that she now realizes that she needs to return the favor. That would have been way more effective if she had come to that realization on her own without Lucy’s pep talk and then have both her and Tiana decide to buy a food truck together as a friendship decision.
Hook’s missing girl case. Unless last week was a red hearing we already know that Alice is the missing girl so we are no longer invested. If they want to revisit that mystery what they need to do a haha moment Alice is not the one so we can become reinvested and continue to figure it out. If she is the missing girl you already ruined it so we no longer care about the mystery.
No Alice or Weaver they are incredibly entertaining

Dr. Facillier – He was creepy, but interesting. The desperate soul line made me hope we’d see more of him. He’s sort of a Rumple type of character that I could see being very interesting if written right.
Tiana – I’ve only seen her movie once and that was quite some time ago so admittedly I’m not very familiar with the Disney version of her tale, but I did like her role in this episode. She has all the faith and moxie you expect from a heroine. I would’ve liked to see a golden ball somewhere in her story though. The original Grimm? version of the princess and the frog is the version I remember best.
The picture – I’m happy that they ‘found’ (they were lead to it by Drizzy really) that picture and I’m hoping in the next episode for some variation on the theme of, Roni: “how can I possibly be your mother? We’re like the same age.” Henry raises an eyebrow. Roni: “Almost”. It feels like the story is moving towards a curse breakage at last.
The witch in the tower – continues to be intriguing. Though I wish they’d give us more to theorize with.
Neutral:
Rogers – his search for the missing girl just doesn’t interest me. I assume the girl will be his daughter and maybe the story will get more interesting when we know more about her, but at the moment it all feels like a sidetrack to the more interesting stuff that Weaver and Alice have going on.
Ivy – she definitely emerged as a villain tonight. I agree with everyone guessing that she probably cast this curse.
Disliked:
No Weaver. No Alice.
Cinderella – my goodness she came off badly tonight! How am I supposed to root for her when she’s such a weak borderline unlikable character?
Princess? – the auction felt weird and out of place for a princess. I know kingdoms can become impoverished, but this just didn’t fit the narrative. No Queen would do something like this. Sure she might sell some things under the table to fill up her dwindling coffers, but not on the front lawn of her castle. If they wanted to go this way they should’ve just made them a rich/noble type family who either fell on hard times after their, say rich merchant father died or maybe the King levied a heavy tax on them that they were unable to pay because they refused to squeeze their peasant farmers like all the others nobles were doing to pay their heavy taxes. Alternately if they wanted her to be both poor and a princess they should’ve either had her kingdom overthrown so that she was tossed out of the castle with nothing or had her kingdom be a very small one and her ‘castle’ be only a small fort or something barely bigger than the hovels or her subjects.

I agree with all these points.
Earning a living on baking pastry based on one (partial) days sales is as ridicules as buying an empty truck and acting like this solves all your problems..I hope she saved enough money for an oven, paint, fresh baking supplies and lots and lots of Lysol. But I still side with Tiana on this one. At least she’s fighting. If Cinderella wanted to knuckle under and take her best chance…she should’ve taken her step-mom up on the apartment offer two weeks ago.
Stop with the lazy ‘many years ago’ stuff and actually work out a timeline that makes sense. Come on ABC I dare you!
November 4, 2017 at 9:03 am #344142PheeParticipantWe got a “desperate soul”! Gave me that warm and fuzzy nostalgia feeling.
i really liked this episode and I am loving this season so far. I honest to god think it’s one of the top 3 seasons of OUAT so far.
Same. I’ve been mostly watching the show out of duty the last couple seasons, not actually really enjoying it. This season I’m actually finding myself looking forward to watching. It’s like the Twilight Zone.
I’m very confused as to how her kingdom is setup. The mom is royalty but her cook of as husband is the one who built their kingdom? Shouldn’t the mother already have had a kingdom? Also why do the taxes of another kingdom effect them??
You’re confused because it makes no sense. I gather that her mother was born royal? So her father became royal when they got married? And then he built up the kingdom into something great, which suggests that Tiana’s parents were the King and Queen? But then he died, and her mother is no longer the Queen? And they’re not related to the current King and Queen?
What they should have done is just have them be nobles of some type. Lady Tiana, instead of Princess Tiana. Tweak her father’s story to having still built up their estate and their family’s standing in the community from nothing. Then after he died, the royal family cut her and her mother off for whatever reason, and that’s why they’re in debt now.
Eventually they have to reopen Mr. Clucks and serve chicken!
Even though the whole concept of them having even been able to take over Mr Clucks for the day for their own purposes was ridiculous…I did get a kick out of how it was destroyed in a sorta similar way to in LOST.
Jacinda used her rent money–money that could keep her child and herself off the streets–to buy a food truck? That currently doesn’t have an oven or even counterspace? Girl, you’re dumb.
I was looking at that shot of the inside of the truck and wondering what had possessed her to buy THIS truck. I guess it was slim pickings considering where she got it from, but still, just…an ordinary truck is NOT a food truck, and it’s gonna be pretty expensive to turn it into one. What was wrong with the farmer’s market idea is what I wanna know. Make the things in their own kitchen then take them somewhere to sell that’s not gonna cost you 2 months rent.
Hook’s missing girl case. Unless last week was a red hearing we already know that Alice is the missing girl so we are no longer invested.
There may not have been much in the way of evidence in that box, but there must be a photo of the girl in there. So there’s really no way that the missing girl is Alice, because Hook didn’t show any sign of recognising her at the hospital.
