Just not feeling this … RATING 4.5 /10 Sorry but use to be just accepting of Henry and Ella but just do not like them … Not feeling the love. The actress playing Ella can not act… and seems to be pointless… and what new mother leaves her newborn to go alligator hunting. . . .
Don’t be ridiculously hard on Ella. You’re making it sound like she deserted her baby when she did not because Henry is obviously with Baby Lucy. And besides Tiana is her best friend and wouldn’t leave to face that gator alone. And another good reason why she would go too is that this gator is a threat to her new family. Did you ever think that?
[adrotate group="5"]March 11, 2018 at 2:14 pm #345862RumplesGirlKeymasterThis episode was boring but also inoffensive which is maybe the best thing the show can strive for now. It doesn’t help that the characters leading this episode–Tiana and Naveen–are flat and underdeveloped as people. We’ve seen so little of Tiana/Sabine that it’s hard to care about any of her plotlines.
Rating: 6/10
LIKED
–Rollin’ Bayou is a clever name for a food truck. Flamin’ Cajun is not.
–I actually thought the giant gator was going to turn out to be Rumple so imagine my surprise when it was, in fact, a gator. CGI wasn’t….terrible?
–Nook and Rumple working together makes for an interesting visual after years and years of Rumple detesting the mere idea of any Hook.
MIXED
–Henry doing a podcast is a modern take on being an author but I kinda hope the voice over doesn’t happen every episode. It would get old quickly.
–Really? No one got a food safety permit for Rollin’ Bayou? Geeeeez. I know, I know..it’s for the story/plot.
–The malicious gator killed Naveen’s brother. I hate when brand new characters randomly drop important character rich stuff like this in the span of twenty seconds. I guess it gives Naveen some color in his story but if they want me to care about him, they gotta stop only telling me stuff through clunky exposition.
–I’m glad Rumple is no longer pretending to be cursed with Regina but I wish he’d ask after Henry or Lucy.
DISLIKED
–It takes several weeks/months to get a headstone made, yes?
–I thought Sabine and Jacinda were going to run the food truck together?
–Facilier and Regina know each other from long ago…how?? I get that Regina was a big deal in EF version #1 but how does Facilier know OUR Regina when he exists in EF 2.0? Seriously, at this point there isn’t much about Regina’s life we don’t know and having her randomly be connected to another powerful sorcerer is….dumb.
–The super heavy dark cloak Cinderella is wearing in the flashbacks is tragic.
–“My enchanted spear is the only thing powerful enough to kill the beast” (ugh)
–Dr. Facilier, a sorcerer/warlock with powerful magics, couldn’t get a necklace swallowed by an actual gator until said creature was dead. The show relies so much on magic until it suddenly needs magic to fail for reasons.
–Facilier and Regina do absolutely nothing for me. I have no idea why this storyline needs to happen.
–I still don’t see any chemistry between Jacinda and Henry and still don’t believe they could actually be True Love in the mold of Snow/Charming.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"March 11, 2018 at 5:07 pm #345865hjbauParticipantI thought this episode was better then the last one, but it still was a lot of filler. Though honestly, this entire show feels like filler because they don’t give episodes to Regina, Rumpel, or Henry and Ella, and it is instead about all of this nonsense that no one cares about. I think as just a filler episode though, it was fine.
I was glad to see the food truck again and see that actually working. I think Regina, Zelena, and Rumpel sitting in the bar pretending they are normal people that can help a situation is silly and makes me realize how far this show has fallen. At least, they are just looking out for themselves.

This could be regionally specific, but where I live, they won’t put a headstone up for a year because of ground shifting.

Are they still trying to sell this? Or have they decided Alice/Robyn are the new Snowing?

I don’t know. I think the writers aren’t even feeling Henry/Ella hence why they more or less skipped any sort of real development in those two and had a necklace do all the hard work.

Maybe for ordinary people, but that family is rich.
