Can anyone tell me if Facilier is a good guy or a bad guy?
I have no idea. And at this point, we’re not going to get any sort of backstory on him. I guess he wants the dagger for…reasons. He helped Lucy because…reasons.
Alice really is an excellent actress and that cannot be said enough.
I am really ready for OUAT to be done but I would 100% watch a series about Alice and Margot.

A slump from the last few great episodes….at least it was fun while it lasted, lol!
Liked:
That Jacinda scene with Lucy was one of the only scenes where I really liked the role of Cinderella all season.
Lucy showing off those bargaining/manipulative skills she gets from Henry’s mother/grandfather side of the family, LOL!!!
Tilly & Rogers father/daughter connection
Mixed:
So is Facilier a good guy or a bad guy?
You know what, I just can’t see leaving my “amnesiac” kid in a dangerous magical city….so although I truly support Zelena….I can’t help but question the writing choice to just have her abort mission and leave her sister to fight this fight alone, especially when her own daughter’s life could be at stake.
Dislike:
How the hell did the security guard wake up a coven of witches?! LMAO
Typical backstory for Gothel
No Rumple and no Regina

True Love’s Kiss, works every time if it’s really true love.

Alice was the only thing interesting going on here, but I don’t care about her relationship with fake Hook or with Gothel. There are no actually stakes there because Alice is friends with Hook, but doesn’t like Gothel.
Henry and Ella are just ridiculous. The blood test is dumb. The shoe in the bag is dumb. The t-shirt. Them taking was just boring. Either uncurse them or don’t show them.
This episode was just further proof of the problem of having a show without a lead. It does not work. They needed a new good guy female protagonist that was part of every story, that was the center, that was in every episode, but they don’t have that and the show doesn’t work like this.

Which is sad. He and Regina had a past relationship together. That sounds super delicious. I’d love to see what the deal with that was 🙁
he has to have a purpose here. I think we will get SOMETHING on his backstory

There could be a massive exposition dump but I don’t think so. We know quite a bit about the flashbacks of the next three episodes and I’m pretty sure Facilier isn’t in 21 and 22 which only leave this upcoming episode and according to what I’ve seen/heard, it’s solely Regina and Henry focused in the flashback
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"April 30, 2018 at 11:38 am #346983thedarkonedearieParticipantYeah it looks like Facilier is just going to be a guy who pops into other people’s flashbacks and stories but doesn’t get his own. Which again makes me wonder why he was brought in to begin with. Was it simply to fix Henry so when the curse was finally broken it wouldn’t kill him? But then why have him want the dagger? I know you said we may not see him after next episode but call me crazy…..I still think he’s mainly a good guy who will have something to do with Rumple being able to reunite with Belle. He may be the guardian or may not but there’s no way his story won’t have a little closure. I mean they have to tell us why he wants the dagger. And they linked him with Rumple for a reason. They didn’t have to have him want the dagger. I know these writers do random things sometimes but I’m still betting on Facilier being important for Rumple to reunite with Belle. There are too many coincidences.
Anyone else love that Henry and Jacinda’s kiss didn’t break the curse?
I quite enjoyed Alice/Tilly in this episode. I also appreciated that Jacinda wanted to kiss Henry as Jacinda and not as Cinderella. I thought their chemistry was better here than it has been all season.
There were a few things wrong here as others have pointed out but I was definitely entertained throughout. I enjoyed Gothel’s backstory and appreciate them answering why she is called Mother Gothel and why her cursed name is Eloise GARDENER. The whole tree nymph thing was so out there and ridiculous that other than the random butterflies in their hair, I kind of enjoyed it.
So what exactly does Gothel want todo with the Coven? Does she want to wipe out mankind again? How is the curse going to get broken? Anybody think young Henry will have something to do with it?
April 30, 2018 at 12:37 pm #346987hjbauParticipantI, also, cannot believe that the coven was just a random collection of nobodies. What a stupid plot point. It served no purpose.

To be honest, I’ve been sort of wondering if they brought Facilier in when they didn’t yet have confirmation that this season would be the end. If they thought there was a chance for a S8 (and to be fair, it was a teeter-totter bubble show right up until the moment ABC cancelled it) then they’d have to lay some groundwork early on. Gothel and this whole plot with her would eat up S7 with hints of Regina/Facilier sprinkled in but never given any weight because that would be explored in a potential S8. But as soon as ABC gave them the news, it became more about wrapping up the entire series than devoting it to set up S8. So Facilier and Facilier/Regina got the very short end of the stick and go unexplored and explained.
ETA: I’m also not 100% sure if Facilier is in anything beyond 720. He might be (and I’ve forgotten because they filmed a lot away from us) but I don’t recall him being around for the filming of the final two episode. Also based on what we do know from people who have sources somewhat on the inside…it still leads me to believe he’s not there for 21-22.
