Lancelot was in a position of power. There’s no way she’d go back to being just some random peasent.

2×4 – Regina & Cora learned the heart trick from Rumple. Where did Rumple learn to pull out hearts and either use them or crush them? Was it just an inherited trait or did he steal the trick from someone else?
2×4 – Where did Hook & Milah go after running off?
2×4 – Why did Rumple & Milah get married? How did they meet? Arranged marriage or did Milah really love Rumple?
2×4 – Why did Hook & Milah want the magic portal bean for? Where were they planning to go? Or did they just kidnap Smee to use as a bargaining chip against Rumple?
2×4 – Is Killian Jones related to Davey Jones? Does his last name have special significance to his backstory?
2×4 – Where did Rumple learn to turn back the clock on a person’s age? A Dark One trait or was it stolen from some other magical person?

Well Rump is the earliest person we have seen use the trick (when he did it to Mila). So it could be interpreted either way. He could have 1.) Just have known how to do it or learned it being all magical or whatever or 2.) He could have actually INVENTED it himself. When he got upset with Mila, he literally wanted to rip out her heart and CRUSH it infront of her. So, being magical, in the instant where he did try to rip out her heart his magic activated and ripped out her heart but sustained her until he crushed it. Does that make sense. Basically, what he did was fueled by magic and rage. And it was the first time it was ever done ever. Maybe. Then he taught it to others. *shrug* It doesn’t seem to be something very common in magic since Cora is like, known for it and infamous for it. If it was a normal magical thing, I’m sure it wouldn’t have been such a huge deal.
Arranged marriage or did Milah really love Rumple?
For some reason, I always assumed it was arranged and while he really loved her, she just put up with him cause you know, like belle said, there aren’t many options for women in their land. It was either be with Rumpel and have something or be alone and have nothing. It didn’t seem they were poor until Mila left.
Is Killian Jones related to Davey Jones? Does his last name have special significance to his backstory?
I’m sure he is. Or else they didn’t want his name to be James since we already had a James on the show… And that James had a twin… So it’d have been Confusing to gave three James basically.

I figured since he does it to clear his mind, why not make money from it. Literally. Spinning straw is what got him money as a human, now he literally turns it into cash. I dont think he stole the trick or anything. Rump is just magical.

Rumple is the one we’ve seen do the trick the earliest timeline wise (although he was going to rip out Hook’s heart before Milah intervened), however, we saw Pan (Well Panry) do the trick on Felix and Pan is older than Rumple.
I don’t think anyone “invented” that trick otherwise Regina “invented” splitting a heart in two. Taking a heart was always doable for those with magic. However as it was “dark magic” it wasn’t practiced commonly.

Also, since Z didn’t know Rump was dead, how was she planning on getting his dagger and brain? O.o It seems Zelena was overestimating her circumstances. Well, Zelena was likely taught just as much by Rumple as Cora (“You shouldn’t have taught me all your tricks” in 3×16), and his letter to Cora called her the most powerful sorceress he’d ever encountered, which would obviously include mother dear herself. And this is all pre-pendant, which I’m pretty sure Glinda said would amplify her powers. So to begin with she has this natural knack for magic and has learned most (if not all) of Rumple’s tricks, and then upon returning to Oz her power only grew. I think Zelena would have been able to wipe the floor with Cora, and as she had gotten away unscathed the last time they met and she had only gotten stronger since, she probably assumed she could handle Rumple. Wicked always wins, after all.

Not much of an unanswered question but why exactly was Snow briefly against the idea that Ursula the Sea Goddess was real? O.o Snow lives in a world where fairies fly through the air, trolls live under bridges, and world hopping mermaids swim through the ocean. Snow herself has used magic!! So WHY on Earth is the idea that a half octopus woman gave a magic bracelet to a mermaid such an out of this world concept? Her reaction was extremely rude too. The real world equivalent would go something like this:
Ariel: I prayed last night for an answer to all my troubles and God gave me answer to all troubles 😀
Snow: Wut? Lulz, god izn’t real, mermaid, Y U so cray?
I just find it really odd that in a land full of magic, anyone could find it hard to not believe in ANYTHING .-. What makes it slightly funny is that while Snow goes all “I told you so.. It was Regina, the evil queen all along”, Ursula really was REAL

My head cannon: After he met Killian and challenged him to a duel now that he (Rumple) was invincible, he spent the next few hours thinking about he was going to make Killian pay for humiliating him (Rumple) when Killian challenged him to duel on his ship (that was the duel part) but also to make him suffer for his warped mind stealing his wife. I bet Rumple wanted Killian to beg for his life, like Rumple grovelled. But he wanted Killian to feel his pain and says as much. Rumple asks Killian if he knows what it’s like to have someone steal your wife… It feels like someone has torn out your heart. To me that is where the idea came from. Had Milah not shown up, it would have been Killian’s heart to be crumpled.

Does Jiminy Cricket speak English? I recall in the first episode of the first season that Jiminy spoke through a huge microphone type thing didn’t he? And then in New York Seranade, he chirps to grumpy who understands him. I know Jiminy spoke English to Snow and the dwarves but if grumpy can speak cricket, im sure the other dwarves can and Snow? Well she can and she talks to birds… Question is, is his voice just really tiny that he cant be understood by normal ears (thus the need for the microphone thing)? Or does he literally talk like a cricket and can only be understood by some? Or am I thinking too hard again?
