I thought it was because Ariel has been in Neverland for the past 30 odd years, and in NL, no one ages because time stands still.

Because Rumple can see the future, at least bits and pieces of it. As to the next part: Snow does say that even if Charming had grown up with KG, he’s wouldn’t have become James because of his heart. So likely Rumple saw something in Charming that made him pick James

I like these ideas. Didn’t think about Rumple seeing the future regarding David’s heart so that’s why James was chosen, more suited for KG. I hope we get to see this flashback some day. Was hoping that it would have happened in this first 11 since Alan Dale was done filming “Hot in Cleveland”. May be we’ll see this come up in the 2nd half. I would love to see Charming as a little boy to go along with seeing Snow as a little girl.

Agreed. It is really past time that they developed Charming more outside of Snow White. I want to see his life before he was a Prince. I have a whole headcanon about who is father really is.

Judging from the fact that Regina told her to swim back home, and that she told Snow to travel to her land, I assumed Ariel was in a different land. Atlantica. So I was questioning whether or not she would age because why would she still have been in the EF, when she has no reason to be. Eric is gone and it seems like she never even saw him again after that situation. I like the bubble idea tho, RG. It fits for me

Ariel’s home could be the Mermaid Lagoon in NL. We didn’t get to see that and we aren’t sure where the shore Regina & Rumple was was located. Nor did we find out if Ariel was related to the nasty mermaids from 3×1.

We can those to the list of questions. I really loved Ariel but I wanted more of her story. I hope we get it. I wanna know what happened to her after Regina took her voice!

Me too, RG. Here are my Ariel questions so far from 3×6. What did Ariel do without her voice for at least 28 years? Did she try to follow Prince Eric on his adventures to keep an eye on him? Was she or the other mermaids affected by the evil curse? Where is Ariel’s home? Is she related to the mermaids in 3×1?
