Did we see this door in season 1 or 2 inside the hat? Does anyone have an image? I am sure this has already been discussed but I can’t find the thread via the search function.
Looks like that one on the far right?
Thanks @Rumplesgirl.
It does look similar, but it doesn’t look the same. Some major differences are:
-The door on missing page has 6 panels, but the one in the hat has 2.
-The door on the missing page has an ornate frame, but the one in the hat has a plain one.
The door on the missing page does not seem to have a knocker (or something metal) in middle, whereas the one in the hat does.
I am not going to put it down to mistakes due to paintings from someone’s memory, because there rest of the pages seem to have accurate images.
I know I agreed that this is the door on the original thread about this, but I have changed my mind 😉

I give the writers a lot of crap these days, but I’ll give them props if this thing with August and the Author door and the Hat and Jefferson is actually a thing they were planning way back then, and they’re sticking with it. August and Jefferson wouldn’t necessarily need to have known each other, it could have just been that August sought him out that one time, after having found the door in the Book, figured out it was from inside Jefferson’s Hat, and wanted to ask him about it.

Different panelling. I looked up the Hat doors yesterday, to see if any were a match, but they’re not as far as I could see. The design of this new door is probably based on a door that appears in some Disney movie.

Look at the floor patterns and the walls. Chances are, there are more doors across from the doors we see in that screenshot.

I don’t think anyone is disputing that it is the same room. The dispute is about the door.
I agree that there are likely more doors in the hat.

There’s no doubt about that.
It most closely resembles the one of the left here, but it’s still not quite a match…

I agree. It is closer to the one on the far left of this picture, but still not the same.

If the door is in Jefferson’s hat and the author comes from a land with magic, then I think it could be almost any made-up world that ever has been imagined. If author turns out to be Glinda, she would be from Oz. If the author is Merlin, he’d be from Camelot. Alternatively, I still think the author could be the Blue Fairy and that she’s just outright lying, in which case she’s from the Enchanted Forest.
