–Ursula is a powerful sea goddess who grants merfolk legs once a year but it comes at a high cost.

Eric is her everything. I hope this ends well, though I’m concerned it doesn’t (and I don’t even own a pair of Hookriel shipping goggles).

Maybe one of the rules of having legs once a year is that a mermaid isn’t supposed to speak.

The sea witch is a powerful goddess? I thought Ursula would be Regina. But, maybe not. Could this goddess be Calypso maybe?

I really think somebody either made a goof as to which land its in, or started saying we first meet Ariel in Neverland and ended by saying she first meets Snow when she saves her (something does NOT add up and it’s either they weren’t familiar with the show and heard “she’ll be in NL cause of mermaid lagoon” and ran with it, or they just typed the wrong place).
I …have no idea what to think. Either someone is very confused and they’re making us confused…or something is very very strange.
Love that she made a fuss about crab being served (Sebastian is one of my favorite animal sidekicks of all time).
Sounds like Ariel will be perfect though and I’m super excited about meeting her.
Very interesting that they can be granted legs one day a year! Looking forward to finding out more about the details for that particular deal and how it factors in with everything else.
Also super super excited to meet her “beloved Prince Eric” – Gil McKinney seems really awesome from twitter and I can’t wait to see Prince Eric in action. Loved the ballroom dancing pic and want more!
Also totally unpopular opinion around here but I’m glad that it at least *sounds like* they’re keeping them together. I’m mostly just thrilled we’re getting answers this year regarding a lot of couples so that we can all stop getting our hopes up for things. I’d rather be excited to see how they’ll all play out / stay together than fight over who should be with whom!
Plus headcanons and fanfiction are totally fun too so whichever way it goes with Ariel or anybody else, we’ll always have those.
Side note: one of my potential projects for Nov’s NaNoWriMo is actually pirate or sea captain/mermaid – really loved the idea when it was still possible Hook was being double-dipped as Eric (I can love the idea even if I don’t want that story with those characters. Goodness knows I’ve done it before with this show). We’ll see if I can stretch it out into a novel and if not, I may just post it as a short story if I end up going with that project.
Either way I’m excited to see how Once’s mermaid love story plays out!
So many tword problems right now but at least we got a tiny bit of information regarding presumably Ursula! Legs once a year thing is definitely interesting. That deal is probably rather pricey though…

Yeah I don’t get it. How would Snow even get to NL? And why? And how would she get back?

We’re a small little ship but proud. And currently taking on water. Guess it’s a good thing I got me a backup boat.

I feel like most people actually want straight re-tellings with only slight alterations so its like a live action version with the mashing only being about how they meet these other fairy tale characters, but basically live out their tales more or less as we expect (like Cinderella/Thomas). I’m ok with Hookriel staying crack, but I hope my portal jumping spec still can be true along with Krakken Ursula-Magic Squid.
Guess we’ll have to see! When she commented on having just given birth and how her …ahem, posterior is large, my first thought was, well you’re playing a mermaid, and if there is one time you can get away with a big tail…but I feel for her. See that is still confusing to me with Snow and the Ariel that outfit is for the past in FL, guess Snow was out boating and got tipped over by Ursula in NL. I just don’t know how Snow got to NL guess we will see.
