It really bothers me when people say they want a character dead. It’s one thing to say you are not a fan of a character and don’t care to see them on the show. It’s another thing to wish them dead- particularly when there are others who are actually quite fond of said character.
Agree 100% – it’s just not called for. Sure you can discuss something like characters dying if it’s part of a legit reason on the show ie. dying to protect/save someone etc, but not just outright stating someone should die because you don’t like them- that’s simply being childish & petty, not to mention coming off as being proudly, obnoxiously arrogant. 👿

It’s not a ‘shipping wars contest or anything. It’s purpose is to promote harmony and love for all our favorite OUAT ships, characters, episodes, and more, OUAT Appreciation Week is here to organize – you guessed it – weeks of appreciation. 😀
May 27, 2013 at 7:21 pm #196302obisgirlParticipantThis bothers me. A fellow Oncer I follow on tumblr found out her Nana died, and then she gets kicked while she’s still down by other Oncers and I’m like 😯 😮 Seriously, what happened to compassion for your fellow human being?
I don’t want to name names because I don’t know who’s been stalking her blog but if someone close to you died and I didn’t know your personally, I would still want to give you a cyber hug and offer my condolences. Because that’s the compassionate thing to do.
Just because we ‘ship differently, doesn’t mean we have to be total 😈 👿 to other people when they’re down or something bad is happening in real life.

Omg. Seriously? Where has the humanity gone in some people? I question the sanity of these said people sometimes because they are clearly taking this shipping war to a whole new level and for the lack of a better term, it is a level of evil.
I can’t imagine what this girl must be feeling with her Nana gone, and to have senseless hatred from strangers come her way on top of it? *shake head* My condolences to her and my heart truly goes out to her.
This is beyond belief. I feel like kicking something. 👿

May 27, 2013 at 8:40 pm #196313obisgirlParticipantIt is very sickening.
I hate to say it, but what happens online, even if you’re not talking directly face to face to a person, it makes an impression. Like I don’t understand how some people still cannot grasp this concept.
What if I met you offline and remembered some of the awful things you did online and assumed that’s who you are in real life (when actually you’re a very nice person in reality)? How would that make you feel?
Not very good. That’s why compassion towards other people, even online, counts.

Yeah, unfortunately, people think it’s okay to be vicious online because of the anonymity and lack of repercussions they’ll have to deal with. You are absolutely right that online comments can profoundly affect people even if there is no face to go along with the words. Words have weight.
Best thing we can do is represent ourselves online in the best way we can and lead by example. And, I certainly have no qualms and defending people that are cyber-bullied. *raises sleeves up, takes earrings off*
I have always had a really soft spot for the “underdog” but who doesn’t?

July 21, 2013 at 8:46 pm #201407obisgirlParticipantI come back from dinner and now a few Evil Regals are hating on Jennifer Morrison. I haven’t even looked to see who but I’m guessing it’s probably the same bunch who were attacking Adam on his twitter.
And it’s all about ‘shipper wars, homophobia and taking words out of context. There is absolutely NO reason at all to involve the actors in our ‘shipper wars. It’s alright if they have opinions about things, they are allowed to have opinions but it is NOT alright to harass them after they give their opinions.
I think twitter is awesome. I really wish it had existed way back when I opened my first fansite. I love it because we, as the fans, can interact freely with the actors we love. But the way I see it, it’s a privilege to be able to ask them questions about stuff.
But you know what can happen if actors don’t feel welcomed on twitter? They can shut it down and leave for a very long time. Now Oncers, ask yourselves, do you want that to happen?
If your answer is “No” – Bless You.
If your answer is “Yes” – well, you need a course in web etiquette.
That’s all I’m going to say. But seriously, this needs to STOP. NOW.
July 21, 2013 at 9:20 pm #201409RumplesGirlKeymasterI couldn’t agree more, Obisgirl. The fact that JMo had to tweet saying that she supports relationships and that she is personally insulted by all this is tragic. No one deserves the kind of hate she, Adam and Lana are getting.

This whole situation just breaks my heart.
July 21, 2013 at 10:03 pm #201416RumplesGirlKeymasterThe way I see it, Lana is being harassed on several fronts. Apparently people are talking about her recent engagement and how it’s a front because she clearly should be with JMo.
