I’m torn between Neil being Bealfire or not. Bea was the first from fairytale land to cross over into the new word. At that time, Rumple would’ve been about 50. As we know, Rimple is about 300 now. That would put Bea at around 264. He would’ve gotten here during the mid 1700’s. So Rimple would be chasing a dream and in for some major heartbreak. However, Neil could be Bealfire (not sure how but there are unusual circumstances after all). What we do know is Rumple did go through a lot of trouble to make the curse. He wouldnt do all that unless he really know what he was doing. It is possible that Rumple knows more than we think. It seems like everyone is connected to everyone else. Why would Rumple/Mr. Gold give Regina a child to raise. He can’t stand her. The only reason would be if he was invested in the child. It could be that Rumple/Mr.Gold knows that ultimately Henry is his “insurance policy” angst Regina hurting him in the worst way possible (through killing Bea). Even though only 2 people know Rumple has a son, himself & Belle, dosent mean that Regina won’t find out about Bealfire and use that angst Rumple. Look what she did to Belle. But if Rumple were to give his own grandson to Regina to raise and love, thenHe really has her. If Neil is Bealfire, then Regina must think twice about harming him cause that would make Henry hate her. And that would be Rumple/Mr. Gold’s only way to make sure Bea is safe. Remember, no matter what Rumple did, he was always a father at the core. He lost Bealfie in a split second of weakness. But anyway, that’s just my silly theory. We shall seevas the show unfolds.

I like your theory. This tangled family tree would be Rumple/Gold’s ultimate insurance if Neal is Bae. The way you lay it out makes a really convincing case. I’m really having to keep an open mind about who Neal is. Bae is the obvious choice the writers would want us to think.

the only thing I can infer from Neal for sure is that he had definitely encountered magic before. That opens a door for him being from any of the magical lands/worlds, but these writers have tricked me one too many times for me to side on a definite answer so far.

    Bae is a good guess.
I Don’t see him being Peter Pan like some people are suggesting, but it’s just as likely as Bae at this point.
An idea i’m playing with is that Neal is the WIZARD from the Wizard of Oz. The Wizard is originally from the real world and travels to Oz by ballon, eventually returning to his home world. Maybe the Wizard would be older, but they made Hook a young hunk, so why not the Wizard.
