We didn’t really adjust for the final premiere ratings. Its still a 0.9 demo, while the totals adjusted slightly down to 3.20:

My favorite song is probably a tie between “A New Season” and “Off with His Shirt.” I did enjoy “The World’s Best Kiss” and “Let’s Agree to Disagree” a lot, too. The best character moments were definitely the stuff with Gal and Richard. Those two have amazing chemistry, and I could watch them all day. That’s not to say Isabella, Chef, Sid, Gareth, and Madalena weren’t a ton of fun, cause they sure were!
Of course as a OUAT viewer, certain things were particularly amusing. The Enchanted Forest gay bar run by the Evil Queen, Chef pointing out the plot inconsistencies when Isabella talks about her amulet, and Richard pulling out a sword in the same fashion as Excalibur. I couldn’t help but imagine Chef representing how we feel whenever we notice plot holes on OUAT. This show is very self aware, which is great!“A pirate died.”

So ratings are going to suck this week. The Golden Globes are Sunday.
Really, more people need to watch this show. Where are the Mel Brooks fans? Where are the Monty Python lovers? They really need to watch.

They really need to watch.I think, or at least hope that the ratings will remain somewhat the same, or there won’t be a huge drop. My theory is that based on last week’s ratings, the majority of viewers who tuned in are the loyal fans that stuck around for all of last Season. Given all of Season 2’s promotion and that it was a rather normal Sunday night for the premiere, sadly it looks like the show gained very little if any new viewers. ABC even tried getting new viewers interested by putting all of the Season 1 episodes available for free on iTunes, Hulu and ABC.com; along with airing a mini marathon on Saturday night. Unfortunately it didn’t seem to pay off.
I hope the show is prepared to end this season and doesn’t give us a huge cliffhanger again. Obviously it would be nice if the show got a third season, but I don’t know if we can “give into the miracle that no one thought we’d get” again.

They probably know better this time around, and won’t take that risk again. I wouldn’t be surprised if ABC even insisted “Hey, this may very well be your last shot, so I would wrap things up nicely if I were you.”
