We’ve had a lot of shows have musical episodes (Buffy, Scrubs, Pysch, GA, etc) but I’ve rarely heard of an entire show that was musical. Except glee… Hmm. I will give it a shot 🙂 could be great

Josh may have his plate full these days with Once, Planning a wedding & getting married to Ginny, plus a new baby. Someone one twitter said the other day that they suspected whoever it was getting killed off would not be done in Vancouver. I really thought that statement was odd but maybe they were referring to this. So I’m wondering if we are possibly losing Hook. Could this be something that might not just showcase Colin’s acting ability but also his musical talent as well

This is just an a idea I’d thought I would throw out here.

Let’s avoid the death spoiler altogether in non-shipping or non-death spoiler threads. It’s upsetting to people, especially since this post doesn’t really have anything to do with it.

ok, i could see myself watching this just for the epic fail potential it has. i am odd that way. i mean i could see it going good for like 3 or 4 episodes but certainly not a full 22 episode run. also, when i think of musicals and fairytales such as this I think of Once Upon A Matress a Princess and the pea musical starring Matthew Morrison from Glee. i think he would be good as a character in this. I also think of the upcoming movie version of Into the Woods which I hear stars Johnny Depp (I cannot spell his name). Also now no fairytale is complete without Rumplestiltskin.  long live mr. gold.

Magic always comes with a price, so I pay with visa.

A tv musical comedy fairy tale series? Uhm, well, not so sure about that. Have been a musical buff in a former life time (still like watching movies like West Side Story, and would like to see a movie version of Wicked), sure enjoyed musical episodes of Buffy, Xena or Sanctuary, and even Grey’s, but already find Glee rather boring (but am certainly not Glee’s target audience). Have a hard time to envision fairy tale comedy musical as joy for a season, and be it just 10-13 episode season. But we’ll see (or maybe not if the pilot is not convincing, although ABC president Paul Lee sounded excited about the concept and script)

Interesting RG I wonder if that will shot in Vancouver just like OUAT & OUATWL ?

No, they’re not filming in Vancouver, not even on the same continent, they’re filming in the UK.

    ¯\_(?????? ?)_/¯

The trailer for the show was put out today at the ABC Upfronts. The air will be airing during the hiatus, during ONCE’s timeslot

Grey’s Anatomy had a musical episode too. I just don’t see a whole series like this working. I’m surprised that Glee has managed to last as long as it has.

I think Glee has survived due in large part to how new and innovative it once was when it came out. But then it became contrived and PSA-of-the-week, but had a dedicated enough fan base to keep it going.

Obisgirl is right. This is an Enchanted rip off but also trying to capitalize on the success of Glee and ONCE. I wouldn’t be surprised if the end up pairing this new show with ONCE somehow.

I really don’t think I’ll be happy if my Revenge gets moved again.  Move Resurrection.  Put it on a different night.  But leave my Revenge alone.

Reminds me of “Ella Enchanted” staring Anne Hathaway. Loved that movie, especially the “Somebody to Love” scene! In the clip, where the 3 guys were dancing with their arms locked together is like the 3 giants in the film. This show looks so silly that it will be a guilty pleasure to watch. :o)

Nothing is impossible on OUAT. Everything has a way of repeating itself. Keeper of the Keeper tread: https://oncepodcast.com/forums/topic/official-keeper-thread-3/#post-217924

Okay, I think I might give this a try. I have a feeling though the king will end up being my favorite character.
