Regular status doesn’t mean anything, honestly; both Raphael Sbarge and Meghan Ory were in this show and they were barely used in their seasons, while Claire Holt has never been one in Vampire Diaries and she had more of a storyline than several regulars in that show. What being a regular really brings is a name in the cast credits and more or less guaranteed wage even if you’re not featured in an episode or several.
I’m hoping that with the exception of MRJ–who makes total sense in the overall story–our cast is pretty much set for future seasons. From here on out, which land we happen to be in, the new characters should be guest stars who are relevant to the main characters storyline.
I agree completely.
Before the finale aired I feared a bit they’d promote Ethan Embry to regular status for the sake of the HO storyline, but since Tamara didn’t die and they already linked the HO to a much more dense character, Peter Pan, I guess we’ve dodged that bullet.
In the way I’ve devised the story of S3 in my head, GOAT will be gone by episode 5 with a Tamara centric episode that explains why she hates magic and how she and Greg came to be recruited into THO.

^Agreed!
Also, I think Sarah and Jamie’s shows are both mid-season so they might start production a bit later, leaving them free for the first chunk of episodes. And Colin is already a regular (his contract has already been changed) and I assume is remaining so hence his listing on the description at upfronts but if MRJ is changing his contract it may take time as we have only just had confirmation of a third season, so we may have to wait for any news on this.

I know that Sarah’s show Mixology has been benched until midseason, so that will help keep Aurora around for a small amount of time. Haven’t hear about Jamie’s.

I think this is the right link for Jamie’s. NBC mid-season schedule.

May 15, 2013 at 4:40 am #194504HappyEndingsSpectatorSo what we lost is the following:
1. Red/Ruby- No back story of Granny and Red now
2. The Mad Hatter – No back story don’t know what happened to the wife
3. August – Missing so many pieces/pot holes and really no back story of what he really did
4. Blue Fairy – No back story
6. Mulan – No back story
7. Aurora – No back story on her
8. Magnificant – No back story. The 1st four have been on since Season 1, but we got to watch Belle, Dr Whale, the Giant and other filler shows instead what a bummer there was so much they could have done with the above before they all left. I really think the writers are just making stuff up as they go now and because of that the ratings are dropping, the breaks don’t help much either the story lines sat in limbo. In addition we have had the following:
3 people lost their memories – David, Sneezy, and Belle
3 accused of killing someone – Red, Snow, and Regina
3 dreams now – Gold, Belle and ReginaAlthough, I did like the FL part in most of this Season but not the SB. 🙂

If it’s a 24 episode season, they might! And then Revenge would have it’s turn the following week, so we wouldn’t be taking anything from them.
